I met Jorey Bernstein when I was a junior at Johns Hopkins university and he was a freshman. We became acquaintances and then friends and I knew him to be probably the only person at the entire university who worked as hard and as feverishly as I did. I did not know what his career choice would be at the time, but I made a mental note to myself that he would definitely be successful at whatever he did. I graduated in 1985 and lost touch with him until Facebook came along, and we reconnected immediately. My Intuition was exactly correct. He was one of the youngest vice presidents at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney working in Beverly Hills. I became a urologist, and was only a little bit into my practice when we reconnected so I didn't have enough money to invest with Jorey, but he saw my potential and took our friendship into account and brought me out to Beverly Hills for a financial meeting. It was the best decision I ever made. He has successfully managed my money for over 20 years. He is reachable by text within five minutes, which is unusual, because I'm on the East Coast and he's on the West Coast. I think the man literally never sleeps. One of the things that makes him very unique is that I've had wealth managers before. They don't want my input or my opinion. They have a formula that works for them and it is what it is. Jorey not only had a unique ability to explain all his thinking, but literally entertained any business or stock idea that I had with his own research to either tell me that it was worth a shot, or to explain why it was not. I have never been treated like this by any of my four previous managers. Other than having an extremely valuable, and very close friend, I can safely say that the reason that I am financially secure today with my minimum business knowledge is Jorey Bernstein. I give him my highest recommendation.
