About Me

Parrish Malson embarked on his finance career in 1980, while also being a diligent college student, and from the very beginning, his primary concern has been helping clients achieve their financial goals. His journey started with positions at respected financial institutions such as Farmers and Merchants Bank in Long Beach, California, and the Community Bank of Los Angeles.

Upon graduating from California State University at Long Beach with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and a focus on Finance, Parrish understands that it's not just about numbers; it's about people and their dreams.

Parrish's commitment to organizing clients' thoughts, planning for the unexpected, and solving everyday investing problems became evident when he joined the Personal Financial Planning program at IDS Financial Services, a division of American Express. His ability to develop comprehensive financial plans and provide exceptional service to clients established him as a trusted advisor. Notably, Parrish's experience led to his membership in the Master Planner group, and he also took on the role of Training Manager, where he helped new advisors understand the importance of client-centric financial planning.

In 1994, Parrish took a monumental step in his career by founding his financial planning firm, American Financial Advisors, Inc., where his clients' aspirations and financial well-being remain his top priority. He believes in going beyond numbers, focusing on the unique needs and goals of each client.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Parrish's dedication to helping people extends to his personal life as a father of three sons. His commitment to personal growth and community service is a core part of his identity, exemplified by achieving the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America at a young age.

Today, Parrish continues to serve and support his community as an active member of the Redding East Rotary Club, where he once served as President in 2002-2003. His goal is to create a lasting impact in the lives of his clients and community.

When he's not immersed in the financial world, Parrish enjoys the freedom of the open road on his motorcycle, the beauty of the great outdoors through backpacking, and fulfilling his passion for travel. At his ranch in Shasta County, he finds the perfect balance between work and relaxation, embodying a life marked by a profound concern for his clients' financial well-being and a dedication to excellence.
