Granite Wealth Partners
Granite Wealth Partners is a second-generation, independent, fiduciary wealth management firm based in Denville, New Jersey, serving individuals and families nationwide. Our firm was founded in 2006 by Michael Guarino III and his father, combining a family legacy of personal service with a coordinated approach to financial planning and investment management. We work with pre-retirees and retirees, corporate executives, and corporate employees who want a trusted team to help bring their financial lives together. Our Rock-Solid Financial Framework coordinates five essential pillars: investment strategy, tax awareness, retirement income, estate planning, and protection.
Our philosophy is simple: understand before giving advice. We begin by listening to your story—what you’ve built, what matters most, and what you want your wealth to accomplish. We identify gaps, establish priorities, and build a practical, personalized plan to help you make informed decisions as you approach and move through retirement.
Clients can expect clear explanations, responsive service, and an ongoing relationship with a team that knows them personally. Through video meetings via Zoom, secure document sharing, and coordinated support, we make it convenient to work with us wherever you live. Our goal is to help you spend less time managing financial complexity and more time enjoying the people and pursuits that matter most.

Frequently Asked Questions
What people ask before they book with Granite
No. The Discovery Meeting comes with no cost and no obligation. If we both decide to move forward, we’ll explain exactly what working together involves before anything starts.
It’s a conversation about what matters to you: your values, how you picture retirement, what you want to protect, and the questions you keep coming back to. You’ll learn how we work, and we’ll learn whether we can help. Nothing is sold, and nothing is decided on the spot.
Before the meeting, we’ll send you a short fact finder. It asks about your accounts, income, and goals, so our time together can focus on you instead of on gathering paperwork. Fill in what you can, and we’ll ask about the rest.
Corporate executives, corporate employees, business owners, and people within sight of retirement, on a national level. Our clients generally have at least $1 million in investable assets, and most have between $1 million and $5 million. What they have in common is savings built over a career, and a wish to have all the pieces coordinated instead of managed one at a time.
Yes. When providing investment advisory services, we act as fiduciaries, which means we are obligated to put your interests first. We take the time to understand your goals, explain our recommendations and fees clearly, and disclose potential conflicts of interest so you can make informed decisions.
Our fee is straightforward and transparent. We charge an annual advisory fee based on the value of the assets we manage for you, with lower percentage rates for larger portfolios. Our fee is billed quarterly and deducted directly from your managed investment accounts, so there’s no separate bill to pay or check to write. The deductions reduce your account balance and appear on your account statements. This structure helps align our interests with yours: as you do better, so do we!
Start by scheduling a Discovery Meeting and we'll meet on Zoom and have a conversation about you, your goals, and the questions you want answered. We’ll learn what matters most to you, explain how we work, and see whether we’re a good fit. If we decide to move forward together, we’ll guide you through gathering your financial information and evaluating how the pieces fit together through our Rock-Solid Financial Framework. You’ll understand our recommendations, fees, and next steps before ever making a commitment.
