Hi, I'm Chad Holmes. I work with baby boomers and their elderly parents in order to minimize taxes across two generations and make the inheritance process most efficient.
Multigeneration planning is very different than your average financial advisor engagement. Many common strategies won't apply, and many other opportunities are uniquely available to your family. As your fiduciary planner, I would love to get to know the unique dynamics that make up your family (the good and the bad!). As we get to know each other, we'll design implementable strategies that work for you so you can focus on what really matters: time with family.
Your parents have lived a long life, and have accrued a lasting legacy… assuming it's managed appropriately. They helped you along the way and now it's time to repay the favor. Partner with Formula Wealth as your financial concierge to make sure their wishes (and yours!) are pursued efficiently and effectively.
Don’t be so focused on their healthcare that you miss opportunities for wealthcare!
On a personal note, my wife Katelin and I call Fairhope home, where we're raising our two beautiful daughters, Georgia (2020) and Charlotte (2023). Katelin and I met in college, but did not begin dating until she was in medical school. We love spending time with their girls and watching them interact together as young sisters!
Katelin is a breast surgical oncologist here in Fairhope. We've lived in Tennessee, Texas, and Ohio, and are happy to be settled back in the South.

About Formula Wealth
At Formula Wealth, I work closely with families to help them navigate the complex financial challenges that often come with caring for aging parents, managing estates, and preparing for retirement.
Many of my clients are in their 50s and 60s, balancing their own future with the responsibilities of multigenerational wealth planning. My approach is fully comprehensive, covering everything from tax optimization and investment guidance to risk management, estate planning, and legacy strategies.
As a fee-only fiduciary, I charge a flat annual fee of $20,000, with a minimum of $2 million in investable assets between both generations. This transparent structure allows me to provide advice that is entirely focused on my clients’ best interests, free from commissions or product sales.
Each client relationship includes quarterly updates, annual tax planning sessions, ongoing investment management, cash flow analysis, insurance reviews, estate document coordination, and guidance that spans generations. Whether I’m helping coordinate multiple family accounts, guiding you as you serve as their power of attorney, or structuring thoughtful wealth transfers, I provide personal, attentive service both locally and virtually to meet my clients wherever they are.
I founded Formula Wealth to offer a more personalized, engaged advisory experience by intentionally working with a limited number of families. I also authored The Inheritance Playbook, which has helped thousands of readers approach legacy planning with confidence and clarity.
My mission is to be a true partner for my clients and their families, helping them preserve their wealth, reduce their tax burden, and build a lasting legacy that benefits generations to come.

To make Wealthtender free for readers, we earn a nominal monthly fee from financial advisors and firms in exchange for marketing services (including being featured on this profile page), subject to terms of use. This compensation creates a natural conflict of interest when we favor their promotion over others. Wealthtender is not a client of these advisors or firms. Testimonials may not be representative of other clients’ experiences and do not guarantee future performance or success.
Wealthtender exists to help people discover trusted and authentic financial professionals and educators who may be a good fit based on their unique needs and circumstances.
Your honest reviews help people decide which financial professionals and educators may be best suited to their individual needs.
The majority of people trust reviews as much as personal recommendations, so what you write in your review should reflect your own opinion and experience.
Tips for Writing a Helpful Review
Be descriptive. Instead of just saying what you like or dislike, share why. What have you enjoyed most or least about your experience with the provider? Have they helped you overcome a difficult financial challenge or strengthened your knowledge about particular money matters? The more details, the better!
Be honest. Your rating and review should reflect your actual experience.
Stay relevant. Ensure your review is helpful to others by avoiding off-topic discussions or personal opinions not relevant to your direct experience.
Make your review easy to read. Reviews should be readable to others. Use proper grammar, avoid excessive capitalization or punctuation, and be sure to check your spelling.
Be yourself. Don’t post as, or pretend to be, someone else, and do not say you’re associated with a person or organization with which you are not.
Be nice. Don’t write abusive, hateful, threatening, or harassing content. Avoid personal threats, hate speech, obscenities, or inflammatory language.
Respect the privacy of others. Don’t post information that can be used to identify another individual or compromise their privacy.
