About Brent Hamilton, CFP®, CDFA, BFA, AFC, LTC, CCFC, EA
After graduating from Portland State University with a dual major in Economics and Finance, Brent Hamilton founded WBH Financial Services. In high school, Brent started doing taxes with his dad. While attending college, Brent assisted in his father’s income tax preparation business. This experience provided his credentials to become a Licensed Tax Consultant which allowed him to make tax consultation and preparation an integral part of his financial planning business.Brent’s dedication to continuing education has yielded a Masters in Financial Planning, the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designation and admittance to represent clients before the IRS as an Enrolled Agent.
Brent’s commitment to lifestyle financial planning recognizes that money is but one of the tools necessary to live a life you desire. He believes that helping you identify and reach your life goals is more important than just getting great returns on the assets he manages for you. He uniquely combines tax and wealth management expertise to create tax efficient portfolio design and optimal distribution strategies for retirement.
Brent also runs a non-profit organization called Women Transition (www.womentransition.com).
Brent and his wife Mary live near his office in Lake Oswego. While raising their family, Brent was involved with youth soccer, basketball, chess club, boy scouts, cheerleader activities and a myriad of school field trips. Brent’s daughter, Darcie, has her own business in California. She is divorced and raising her two sons as a single parent. His son, Brent Jr., is a lawyer practicing in Portland, Oregon. He and his wife are raising a son and twin girls in Portland.
Brent’s escape from a busy work schedule includes gardening and working out at the gym. He and his wife support local artists through attendance at community performances and art shows in Portland and Salem.
Brent is a family man who believes in building and maintaining long-term relationships. Over twenty years ago when he opened the doors of WBH Financial Services, he elected to partner with clients for the long term. Many have become friends, introducing him to their family and colleagues.
This trusted advisor bases his long-term relationships on honesty, integrity and truth. If you measure the quality of your wealth counselor on that basis, then Brent is the financial planner you are looking for.

Wealthtender® is a trusted, independent financial directory and educational resource governed by our strict Editorial Policy, Integrity Standards, and Terms of Use. We Want Your Voice to be Heard
Wealthtender exists to help people discover trusted and authentic financial professionals and educators who may be a good fit based on their unique needs and circumstances.
Your honest reviews help people decide which financial professionals and educators may be best suited to their individual needs.
The majority of people trust reviews as much as personal recommendations, so what you write in your review should reflect your own opinion and experience.
Tips for Writing a Helpful Review
Be descriptive. Instead of just saying what you like or dislike, share why. What have you enjoyed most or least about your experience with the provider? Have they helped you overcome a difficult financial challenge or strengthened your knowledge about particular money matters? The more details, the better!
Be honest. Your rating and review should reflect your actual experience.
Stay relevant. Ensure your review is helpful to others by avoiding off-topic discussions or personal opinions not relevant to your direct experience.
Make your review easy to read. Reviews should be readable to others. Use proper grammar, avoid excessive capitalization or punctuation, and be sure to check your spelling.
Be yourself. Don’t post as, or pretend to be, someone else, and do not say you’re associated with a person or organization with which you are not.
Be nice. Don’t write abusive, hateful, threatening, or harassing content. Avoid personal threats, hate speech, obscenities, or inflammatory language.
Respect the privacy of others. Don’t post information that can be used to identify another individual or compromise their privacy.
Report abuse. Thank you for helping us ensure reviews on Wealthtender are helpful to everyone. If you suspect possible violations of our guidelines or believe a review is inappropriate, please email support@wealthtender.com with a link to the provider’s profile, indicating the review in question and the reason you believe it violates our guidelines.
