About Me

Chad Bester has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. He serves as a trusted advisor for a select group of individuals and families helping them build, manage, preserve, and transition their wealth.

Prior to joining Elevation Point, Chad was a Private Wealth Financial Advisor, Managing Director at Wells Fargo Advisors. He holds degrees in Economics and Management from Hamline University and is a Certified Financial Planner™.

Chad's opportunities to give back include serving on the Board of Trustees for Hamline University, his church’s Finance and Gift committees. In addition, Chad stays actively involved with the community as a restaurant owner and entrepreneur.

Chad’s family is the heart of his personal life. He enjoys water skiing whenever the Minnesota weather permits, watching Vikings football, reading, hunting and spending time with his family at the cabin and his farm.

Chad is a lifelong resident of Minnesota. He and his wife Janel have three children, Grace, Hunter, and Madeline and their dog Lucky. He loves grilling for his family and he makes a killer version of rigatoni. Chad has a strong appreciation for cars, and has always wanted a 1970 Chevelle SS.

Peggy and I have been associated with Chad for over 15 years. Throughout our working years Chad and his team helped us invest wisely and lay the groundwork for our impending retirement. We especially appreciated the close interaction we had with Chad and Dave in developing and implementing changes in our portfolio. Chad's recommendations on types of investments we had no prior exposure to was refreshing and something we had never experienced with previous financial planners. Again, we would discuss the pros and cons but ultimately it was our decision to move on them or pass. Chad, Dave and Becky's decision to leave Wells for Mt Yale came just as we were getting ready to retire. The timing for us to make the decision to move wasn't the greatest but we never hesitated and have never looked back. Our financial future in retirement is rosy and the relationship we've groomed with Chad and his team is more valuable now than ever.

My husband, Mark, and I, Gayle, have known Chad for over 20 years. He and his team have handled our finances efficiently since 2004. I asked for his assistance soon after my father passed. It was a difficult time and Chad turned into a trusted ally. He navigated through liquidating annuities, managing an Inherited IRA and my actual inheritance. Gary and I are so glad that we made the decision to take our money out of Wells Fargo and move to Mount Yale. We cannot say enough how positive it has been working with Chad and Dave. We are not sure when we started working with them at Wells Fargo, but I would guess about 2007! Thanks to Chad and Dave we are enjoying our retirement and not worrying about about our finances! Gary retired January 1, 2009 and I retired November of 2013. We have no debt and are in Florida again this year for the fifth year in a row and enjoying life and no worry because of Chad and Dave taking care of it. We are so lucky to have them making the decisions that protect and grow our portfolio.
