15 years ago we earnestly started looking forward to retirement. Up to that point, our plans and actions involved putting money into retirement accounts and that's about it. So based on a recommendation off the Dave Ramsey financial website, we choose PAX out of the list of locally endorsed providers. Made a call and within days we nervously walked into the offices for a meeting with Bryan Wing. And we've never looked back. Over 15 years, Bryan has educated us (with much patience I must add) about the financial world, to include explanations of their products, software used, the history of PAX, the history of the financial markets, thoughts of the future of financial markets, and how PAX and us fit into that bigger fiscal world and how that world fits into our plans. He has defined many terms and processes for us that were unfamiliar and/or confusing for us to understand. And we never felt or though we were being talked down to. We tend to think of our meetings as visits with Bryan, it's not business - it's pleasure. Our visits include discussions of our plans of the present and future, emotional wants and life events that may happen to affect our portfolio, and also a way to share our finances which is vital and important to us. We've developed a deep relationship of trust and respect. As the years passed, we went through many of stages in life - from being two working parents with children at home, to parents taking care of their own parents while still raising children, to now empty nesters who are retired, grandparents and debt free. All while weathering the storms and picnics of the financial markets. The common denominator was the fact that while we were ones driving the train, Bryan Wing was shoveling the coal providing what we needed to get to that next station in life. It was the Little Engine That Could and Did! Yes, Bryan Wing and PAX have provided the financial sense for us and we could have given a review that detailed all of that and concentrated on the business side of that, and why you should come to them because they are fiscally savvy. But it is truly the trust we have placed in him and them, and what he/they did with that trust that makes us keep wanting to continue our relationship. It doesn't matter how much money you have or don't have - they're going to answer the call no matter what. We guarantee that when you hang up the phone you'll feel better and after your first meeting/visit, pat yourself on the back!
