About Erik Goodge, CFA, CFP®
Hi, I'm Erik Goodge, CFA, CFP®. I'm the Founder of uVest Advisory Group.Early Life and Military
I'm from Evansville, Indiana and am a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps (2007–2012). In August of 2009, I was wounded in Afghanistan's Helmand Province by an improvised explosive device. During my deployment, I was awarded a Purple Heart and a Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with Valor for actions under fire. My experiences in the Marine Corps have formed a major part of my identity.
Higher Education Journey
I began my higher education journey in 2013, and by 2015, while in school full-time, I decided to pursue an Investment Advisory license. I started advising close friends and family while earning a B.S. in Economics and Cognitive Science with a minor in Philosophy at the University of Evansville. I graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2017 and launched uVest Advisory Group to offer real financial planning solutions to business owners and near-retirees.
Interests and Hobbies
I'm a serious nerd when it comes to financial markets and economics, but I have some other passions too. I'm intensely interested in reading, learning, and self-development. I also love challenging myself with long runs. Running is probably my biggest escape at the moment. I run every single day and have since February of 2024. But most of all, I cherish time with my two little girls, my wife, and Daisy our dog.

About uVest Advisory Group
uVest Advisory Group is a fee-only, fiduciary RIA founded by Erik Goodge, CFA, CFP®. We specialize in Roth conversion optimization, tax-efficient retirement planning, Social Security strategy, and IRMAA mitigation for business owners and near-retirees. We're based in Evansville, Indiana, and serve clients virtually nationwide. Our Services
We focus on retirement income planning for business owners and near-retirees. That means Roth conversion optimization, tax-efficient withdrawal strategies, Social Security claiming analysis, IRMAA planning, and building a comprehensive retirement income plan that coordinates all the moving pieces.
If you're within 10 years of retirement or recently retired, this is what we do all day. All clients receive comprehensive financial planning services, and discretionary investment management is available as an optional add-on. Many other advisors require you to move all of your investments to their management — we don't require this.
Why Work With Us
Most advisors focus on investment management and treat tax planning as an afterthought. We lead with tax strategy — Roth conversions, bracket management, IRMAA mitigation, and Social Security optimization. These decisions can impact retirement by hundreds of thousands of dollars, and they require proactive, multi-year planning. That's our sweet spot.
We work alongside your CPA, not in place of them, focusing on what should happen next rather than accounting for what already happened.
Transparent Pricing
We're a fee-only advisory firm and don't earn commissions or kickbacks. We charge a base annual financial planning fee plus an asset management fee for any assets you choose to have us manage, and we walk through our fee structure in detail during the first conversation.
Our minimum initial fee is $7,500, and we work best with clients who have meaningful planning complexity — typically business owners preparing for a transition or individuals within a decade of retirement.

We Want Your Voice to be Heard
Wealthtender exists to help people discover trusted and authentic financial professionals and educators who may be a good fit based on their unique needs and circumstances.
Your honest reviews help people decide which financial professionals and educators may be best suited to their individual needs.
The majority of people trust reviews as much as personal recommendations, so what you write in your review should reflect your own opinion and experience.
Tips for Writing a Helpful Review
Be descriptive. Instead of just saying what you like or dislike, share why. What have you enjoyed most or least about your experience with the provider? Have they helped you overcome a difficult financial challenge or strengthened your knowledge about particular money matters? The more details, the better!
Be honest. Your rating and review should reflect your actual experience.
Stay relevant. Ensure your review is helpful to others by avoiding off-topic discussions or personal opinions not relevant to your direct experience.
Make your review easy to read. Reviews should be readable to others. Use proper grammar, avoid excessive capitalization or punctuation, and be sure to check your spelling.
Be yourself. Don’t post as, or pretend to be, someone else, and do not say you’re associated with a person or organization with which you are not.
Be nice. Don’t write abusive, hateful, threatening, or harassing content. Avoid personal threats, hate speech, obscenities, or inflammatory language.
Respect the privacy of others. Don’t post information that can be used to identify another individual or compromise their privacy.
Report abuse. Thank you for helping us ensure reviews on Wealthtender are helpful to everyone. If you suspect possible violations of our guidelines or believe a review is inappropriate, please email support@wealthtender.com with a link to the provider’s profile, indicating the review in question and the reason you believe it violates our guidelines.
