About Jose V. Sanchez, CFP®
Hi, I'm Jose Sanchez. Growing up in the small town of Glorieta, a passion for community and a true appreciation for service were instilled in me at an early age. Raised in a village that was poor monetarily but wealthy in traditions, family, and community, I was inspired throughout my life by my parents. Both educators and active in the community as leaders, coaches, and as “majordomos” for the village church (Majordomos is a Northern New Mexico term for “care takers”).Continuing in the blessings of our family and community, I followed my brother in-law into military service spanning over five years. When I was able, I took a second job and saved a small fortune for my future return. Throughout my life, I understood and found success in the value of a “hard earned dollar” and the effort (and sacrifices) it took to keep it.
While starting my graduate work at the University of New Mexico, I was recruited by a major financial services company. I worked directly for “a legend in the company” and learned a lot about Wall Street and the insurance industry. Most of it I didn’t like at all. I spent most of my time questioning why we did not do things that truly benefited the client. It was not long before I was dismayed; I resigned my position in search of a better way.
Disenchanted and truly believing there was a better way to make an impact, I implemented kaizen methodology to my professional way of being. My goal was simple; I wanted to make an impact on our community by sharing smarter strategies for managing and protecting wealth to those who have worked hard and value their money, so that they too can experience less stress and focus on those issues that mean most to them.
Ever since that day, our company has been tirelessly working to realize this goal. We feel that every day we are entrusted to take care of those who have worked hard for their money and provide them with a more enjoyable life through smarter investment solutions. Today I am a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional specializing in retirement planning in and beyond Santa Fe and Albuquerque New Mexico.
What is my "Why"?
At the end of the day, in the middle of the night, and early in the morning, I am Dada, Daddy, Da! Here you see me with the love of my life (Wife Jasmin) and 3 kids under 3 (our daughter and Twin boys). "Spending quality time while creating experiences with my family so I can enjoy a life filled genuine gratitude", that is what is important to me. That is my why statement.

About Retirement Wealth Guidance, LLC
It is an honor to be a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional specializing in retirement planning for individuals who are sandwiched between aging parents and growing kids. I get it! I have 3 demanding kids and parents who deserve our love and care. I am empathetic in planning for individuals whose parents have been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. When it comes to serving my clients, I lead with education first and combine that with unbiased recommendations and impartial guidance.
Most people heading into retirement or already in retirement are focusing on what they’ve accumulated through their streams of income. And when it comes time to start collecting Social Security, pension payments (if eligible), and required minimum distributions from retirement accounts they start to get worried about the amount of taxes this income will generate or has started to generate. It almost feels as if they are making too much money in retirement! It doesn’t have to be this way!

We Want Your Voice to be Heard
Wealthtender exists to help people discover trusted and authentic financial professionals and educators who may be a good fit based on their unique needs and circumstances.
Your honest reviews help people decide which financial professionals and educators may be best suited to their individual needs.
The majority of people trust reviews as much as personal recommendations, so what you write in your review should reflect your own opinion and experience.
Tips for Writing a Helpful Review
Be descriptive. Instead of just saying what you like or dislike, share why. What have you enjoyed most or least about your experience with the provider? Have they helped you overcome a difficult financial challenge or strengthened your knowledge about particular money matters? The more details, the better!
Be honest. Your rating and review should reflect your actual experience.
Stay relevant. Ensure your review is helpful to others by avoiding off-topic discussions or personal opinions not relevant to your direct experience.
Make your review easy to read. Reviews should be readable to others. Use proper grammar, avoid excessive capitalization or punctuation, and be sure to check your spelling.
Be yourself. Don’t post as, or pretend to be, someone else, and do not say you’re associated with a person or organization with which you are not.
Be nice. Don’t write abusive, hateful, threatening, or harassing content. Avoid personal threats, hate speech, obscenities, or inflammatory language.
Respect the privacy of others. Don’t post information that can be used to identify another individual or compromise their privacy.
Report abuse. Thank you for helping us ensure reviews on Wealthtender are helpful to everyone. If you suspect possible violations of our guidelines or believe a review is inappropriate, please email support@wealthtender.com with a link to the provider’s profile, indicating the review in question and the reason you believe it violates our guidelines.
