About Lauren Katz Madera, CFA
Hi, I'm Lauren Madera. I have worked in the financial services industry since 2003. After thirteen years in investment banking and alternative investments, I had an epiphany: I felt most fulfilled when helping individuals and families achieve their financial goals. That realization led me to become a financial advisor. In 2016, I joined forces with my father, Stanley Katz, who has been providing financial guidance to clients since I was two years old. Before launching ClientFirst Financial Strategies, Inc., I spent five years as a financial advisor at Ross, Sinclaire & Associates.
Earlier in my career, I was part of the client service and marketing team at Magnetar Capital, a multi-strategy alternative investment management firm. Prior to joining Magnetar in 2010, I spent five years with Man Investments, one of the world’s largest alternative asset managers. I began my career in investment banking as a financial analyst with Houlihan Lokey Howard & Zukin.
I am a CFA® charterholder. I earned my BBA in Finance from the University of Michigan and my MBA from the University of Chicago. I hold the FINRA designation of General Securities Representative (Series 7) and have passed the NASAA Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination (Series 63).
Outside of work, I enjoy staying active—spending time with my family, swimming, and playing tennis. My son makes sure I never forget to close the activity rings on my Apple Watch each day.

About ClientFirst Financial Strategies
At ClientFirst Financial Strategies, we put the client first in every aspect of our work.As a father-daughter team, Stanley Katz and Lauren Katz Madera bring extensive financial experience and credentials to advise clients where they are and support where they’re going. We pride ourselves on our persistence and resourcefulness on behalf of our clients—developing highly personalized solutions with one overarching goal: to make our clients’ lives easier.
When you work with a family, you’re treated like family.
We are a flexible, solutions-driven team dedicated to acting in your best interest and serving as a one-stop resource for your financial advisory needs. We pride ourselves on being responsive, adaptable, and committed to finding the right solutions for you — even if that means referring you to outside specialists when appropriate.
We take a hands-on, tactical approach to financial planning, helping you quantify what you can control and prepare for what you cannot. Our planning process begins by identifying what matters most to you now and in the future, so we can build a financial plan that reflects your obligations, aspirations, and risk tolerance.
We create customized investment portfolios that are aligned with your personal financial plan. Our investment approach prioritizes understanding what we own and the risks embedded in those investments, and we favor straightforward strategies designed to support long-term financial goals rather than chasing returns with complex products.
In addition to investment management, we support your financial life broadly — including active management of 401(k) retirement accounts and advisory guidance for corporate retirement plan benefits for employers and their employees.
Our planning philosophy is built around detailed analysis and active monitoring. We start by estimating your current and future expenses to determine the level of income and return you’ll need to support anticipated events while maintaining a cushion for uncertainty. From there, we develop an appropriate asset mix based on your goals, risk tolerance, and tax situation.
We aim to be more than advisors — we strive to be trusted partners who help bring clarity and confidence to your financial decisions. By combining personalized strategies with ongoing attention to market developments and life changes, we work with you to pursue financial security and peace of mind.

We Want Your Voice to be Heard
Wealthtender exists to help people discover trusted and authentic financial professionals and educators who may be a good fit based on their unique needs and circumstances.
Your honest reviews help people decide which financial professionals and educators may be best suited to their individual needs.
The majority of people trust reviews as much as personal recommendations, so what you write in your review should reflect your own opinion and experience.
Tips for Writing a Helpful Review
Be descriptive. Instead of just saying what you like or dislike, share why. What have you enjoyed most or least about your experience with the provider? Have they helped you overcome a difficult financial challenge or strengthened your knowledge about particular money matters? The more details, the better!
Be honest. Your rating and review should reflect your actual experience.
Stay relevant. Ensure your review is helpful to others by avoiding off-topic discussions or personal opinions not relevant to your direct experience.
Make your review easy to read. Reviews should be readable to others. Use proper grammar, avoid excessive capitalization or punctuation, and be sure to check your spelling.
Be yourself. Don’t post as, or pretend to be, someone else, and do not say you’re associated with a person or organization with which you are not.
Be nice. Don’t write abusive, hateful, threatening, or harassing content. Avoid personal threats, hate speech, obscenities, or inflammatory language.
Respect the privacy of others. Don’t post information that can be used to identify another individual or compromise their privacy.
Report abuse. Thank you for helping us ensure reviews on Wealthtender are helpful to everyone. If you suspect possible violations of our guidelines or believe a review is inappropriate, please email support@wealthtender.com with a link to the provider’s profile, indicating the review in question and the reason you believe it violates our guidelines.
