Hi, I'm Louis Guajardo. I’m the founder of Moonshot Planning, a financial planning firm built specifically for creators, freelancers, and self-employed professionals - the people traditional finance tends to overlook.My journey started when I saw firsthand how the industry dismissed talented creators who didn’t fit the usual model. I watched a young creator making more than many people twice her age, yet she had no retirement plan, no tax strategy, and no financial roadmap. When I asked how we could help her, I was told to just ignore her. That stuck with me.
After passing my CFP® exam and launching my own firm, Brighter Days Planning, I realized I’d built something safe and predictable - like everyone else. But when that same creator came back, signed up, and started referring her friends after we built her plan, everything changed. I realized this wasn’t just a niche; this was the entire point. So I burned it down and rebuilt, and that’s how Moonshot Planning was born.
Today, I’m committed to serving the creators, freelancers, and self-employed people that the rest of the industry has overlooked, helping them build personalized financial plans that actually fit their lives and careers.
Outside of work, I stay active and creative. I train in jiu-jitsu and boxing, skateboard, draw, and listen to music, all of which help me stay balanced, focused, and energized both personally and professionally.

Our mission grew out of a clear need we saw in the creator community - people earning real income but without a plan for taxes, retirement, or long-term financial health - and a belief that financial planning should work for them, not against them.We believe financial advice should be accessible, practical, and tailored to how creators actually earn and live.
