About Me
Michael Rosenberg, RFC, CPFA, Managing Director of Diversified Investment Strategies, LLC, has been serving the financial planning needs of the Greater Northern New Jersey area for over thirty three years. His commitment to excellence is embodied by the hundreds of clients he has successfully served over his long and successful career.
As you seek answers to your financial questions, it is important to remember that as unique as your situation may be, there is a good chance that Michael has served someone just like you over the last forty plus years.
As a boutique practice, Michael’s niche has been serving those individuals at, or approaching retirement. Michael’s creative approach to retirement stems from the fact that he believes individuals in the distribution stage need to invest differently than those who are in the accumulation stage. His planning goes beyond the belief that the simple answer is to reallocate one’s portfolio to just a higher concentration of fixed income over stocks.
Michael’s credentials have been impeccable over his career. Beyond being an LPL Registered Representative, he has a license in life and health insurance, and maintains the designation Registered Financial Consultant (RFC) through the International Association of Registered Financial Consultants (IARFC) located in Middletown, Ohio, and Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA) through National Association of Plan Advisors located in Arlington, Virginia.
Michael is affiliated as a Registered Representative, Registered Representative Associate and Branch Manager of LPL Financial, a Registered Broker/Dealer, Member FNRA/SIPC. LPL Financial the largest independent broker dealer in the country (As reported by Financial Planning magazine, 1996-2022, based on total revenue). LPL Financial offers no proprietary products and independent research. Michael believes his affiliation with LPL Financial, provides the independence he needs to serve his clients, yet provides confidence for clients knowing one of the nation’s largest firms is there to provide the support and backup needed to run a successful practice.
Michael is currently a member of LPL’s Freedom Club. He has been a speaker at many industry conferences and events, most recently at the Insured Retirement Institute conference in New York. He has appeared on the Cable TV show Chamberview on the topic of retirement planning and has been quoted in Forbes, US News and World Report, as well as the NY Post.
Conquest Press, Philadelphia, PA, named him as one of the Financial Advisors to be listed in their publication the "2014 America's Select Financial Advisors Book". This recognition is based on the following criteria: 1) Nominees are credentialed as a FINRA-registered representative, a financial advisor according to FINRA. 2) Nominees have a clean regulatory and complaint history review according to FINRA's Broker Check, and 3) Nominees are tenured as a licensed or credentialed professional in financial services for at least three years.
Serving community is also important to Michael. He is a former member of the Rowan University Board of Directors, he has also served on the board of the Central Jersey Chamber of Commerce as well as the Ironbound Business Association.
An avid golfer, Michael is a four time club champion golfer and former member of the Board of Governors at the Maplewood Country Club in Maplewood, NJ. He is also former captain of the Glassboro State College golf team. Michael graduated from Glassboro State College (now Rowan University) with a BA in Business. He is married to Jody, and has two daughters. Michael has roots to the community as he was raised in Springfield, NJ and has lived in Livingsto, NJ for over 30 years.
