About Nicholas St.George, CFP®, CRPC®, CPFA, BFA
I help families, professionals, and business owners across Lake Norman and the greater Charlotte area retire on their own terms — with a written plan and a tax strategy, not a product pitch. Most people I meet aren't starting from zero. They're 40 or older, they've done well, and they've accumulated a 401(k) here, an old rollover there, some company stock, maybe a business. What they don't have is a single document that tells them when they can retire, how much they can safely spend, and what the tax bill looks like across the next 30 years. That's the gap I close.
My clients typically come to me somewhere between "I think we're okay, but I'd like someone to check" and "I'd like to stop working in five years and I need to know if that's real." Both are good places to start.

What to expect in the first meeting
"That was way easier than I thought." That's the most common thing people say walking out of a first meeting. Most arrive braced for one of three things: a sales pitch, a lecture, or a pop quiz on how much they spend on takeout. You'll get none of the three. You don't need to prepare anything. No spreadsheets. No statements. No apologizing for the shoebox of paperwork in the closet. If you happen to have a recent statement or last year's tax return handy, great — bring them. If not, we'll get there later. Do not go digging through a kitchen drawer on my account. What we'll actually cover, in about 60 minutes: 1. Your life, not just your money. Where you want to be in five, ten, twenty years. What retirement looks like on a Tuesday. What you'd do with more time. What keeps you up at 2 a.m. 2. Where you stand today. A high-level read on what's working, what's exposed, and what's likely costing you in taxes you didn't know you were paying. 3. Whether we're a fit. Both directions. I turn away people I can't genuinely help, and you should feel free to do the same. What won't happen: - I won't sell you anything. - I won't ask you to decide anything on the spot. - I won't judge past decisions. Everybody has a financial skeleton or two. I've heard it all, and I've made a few of my own. - I won't rush you. What you leave with: - A clear sense of whether we click as people - A straight answer on where you stand and what your biggest opportunity is - Defined next steps — no homework pile, no cliffhanger And bring the question you've been embarrassed to ask someone else. There's no such thing as a dumb one, and that question is usually where the real money is. If we do decide to work together, the heavy lifting is mine. You will not need a finance degree to understand your own plan.Offers Investment Management

About St. George Wealth Management
St. George Wealth Management is an independent financial planning firm in Stanley, NC, serving families throughout the Lake Norman area and greater Charlotte, and clients nationwide by video.Independence matters more than it sounds. We aren't owned by a bank, an insurance company, or a fund family — so there's no proprietary product to place and no quota shaping the recommendation. We work through LPL Financial, an independent broker-dealer and Registered Investment Advisor, for custody, research, and trading infrastructure, which means you get institutional capability without the house agenda that usually comes with it.
What we actually do differently
We plan around the tax bill, not past it.
Most retirement projections run on pre-tax balances, which quietly overstates what you have — sometimes by a quarter or more. We model taxes across your full retirement: Roth conversion windows, withdrawal sequencing, Social Security timing, Medicare IRMAA thresholds, capital gains. What you keep is the only number that spends.
You leave with a document.
Every planning client receives a written Retirement Blueprint — when you can retire, what you can safely spend, what the tax strategy is, and what happens if markets don't cooperate. You can hand it to your spouse. You can hand it to your CPA. It isn't a slide deck you see once.
We coordinate the whole picture.
Investments, taxes, employer benefits, insurance, and estate documents get planned together rather than in separate rooms by people who never speak. We work directly with your CPA and attorney, and where you don't have one, we bring in professionals we trust — including licensed attorneys through Trust & Will for estate documents.
How we work
Every client moves through the same four-step Anchor Process — Discover, Design, Deploy, Direct — so nothing depends on who remembered what. Planning engagements are priced as flat-fee tiers based on complexity; ongoing investment management is billed as a percentage of assets under management. Full details at stgeorgewealth.com/pricing.
What we handle
Retirement income planning · Tax planning analysis · Investment management · Estate planning coordination · Business owner and succession planning · Employer benefit plan review · Education funding · Cash flow and liquidity planning
Who we're built for
Families, professionals, and business owners age 40 and up, within roughly twenty years of retirement, who'd rather have a plan built around their life than a portfolio built around a model.
Our aim is straightforward: fewer surprises, clearer decisions, and a plan you understand well enough to explain to someone else.

Wealthtender exists to help people discover trusted and authentic financial professionals and educators who may be a good fit based on their unique needs and circumstances.
Your honest reviews help people decide which financial professionals and educators may be best suited to their individual needs.

Tips for Writing a Helpful Review
Be descriptive. Instead of just saying what you like or dislike, share why. What have you enjoyed most or least about your experience with the provider? Have they helped you overcome a difficult financial challenge or strengthened your knowledge about particular money matters? The more details, the better!
Be honest. Your rating and review should reflect your actual experience.
Stay relevant. Ensure your review is helpful to others by avoiding off-topic discussions or personal opinions not relevant to your direct experience.
Make your review easy to read. Reviews should be readable to others. Use proper grammar, avoid excessive capitalization or punctuation, and be sure to check your spelling.
Be yourself. Don’t post as, or pretend to be, someone else, and do not say you’re associated with a person or organization with which you are not.
Be nice. Don’t write abusive, hateful, threatening, or harassing content. Avoid personal threats, hate speech, obscenities, or inflammatory language.
Respect the privacy of others. Don’t post information that can be used to identify another individual or compromise their privacy.
Report abuse. Thank you for helping us ensure reviews on Wealthtender are helpful to everyone. If you suspect possible violations of our guidelines or believe a review is inappropriate, please email support@wealthtender.com with a link to the provider’s profile, indicating the review in question and the reason you believe it violates our guidelines.
