About Nina O’Neal
A financial advisor since 2006 and a financial services professional since 2004, Nina O’Neal is an industry veteran. She began her career in New York, NY in institutional finance and after some time on Wall Street, moved back to North Carolina to become a financial advisor with Merrill Lynch. In 2009, Nina became co-owner of AIM Advisors to fulfill her desire to provide unparalleled client service. Today, she focuses on bringing her experience with large pensions, endowments, and corporations both to individuals and to businesses.Nina has been featured in multiple industry publications as a sought-after national thought leader and commentator on industry topics and trends. She frequently serves as a panelist and participant in think tank meetings, podcasts, webinars, and industry conferences. Nina has written articles on practice management and industry topics for Financial Planning Magazine and was a contributor to the book, How I Invest My Money, where Nina shares candidly how she handles her own personal finances and what shaped those decisions.
In 2019, Nina founded The Female Advisor Network, a national membership organization for female financial advisors, with the mission to create a community of support, mentorship, collaboration, and education for female advisors. As a dedicated leader in the financial advisory space, she currently serves on the Advisor Board for Arkadios Capital in Atlanta, GA.
A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Nina remains local to the area and is very passionate about her community. She has supported, sponsored, and planned numerous charity events. Nina is a member of Hayes Barton United Methodist Church and an active parent at St. David’s School. She enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, and spending time with her boys, Lowe and Emmett.

In 2006, Nina O’Neal and Matt Archer met at a networking event - a moment that would shape the future of their careers. Fast forward a few years to 2009 when they met for coffee and discussed the fate of the financial industry, client needs and a vision for a different future for themselves and the people that they served. It was at this time that they realized a mutual interest in how to better serve their clients, along with the same core moral values that would lead them to do just that.Both Nina and Matt wanted to prioritize the client, not the company, and focus on the two key elements below.
