About Ohan Kayikchyan, PhD, CFP®, RLP®, EA

Hi, I'm Ohan Kayikchyan— Doctor of Economics, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, Registered Life Planner®, Enrolled Agent, Founder and Chief Harmony Officer of Alohana Financial. But beyond the titles, I’m a husband, father, and lifelong learner.

I grew up in a small town in Armenia, where life was simple — but never easy. My parents’ quiet strength and our close-knit community taught me early that true abundance isn’t measured by what you own, but by gratitude, relationships, and resilience.

Years later, after immigrating to the United States on my own, I faced a fresh set of challenges — learning a new language, adapting to a new culture, and trying to find my place in a fast-moving world. Along the way, I realized that money has a language of its own — one spoken through our values, our emotions, and the choices we make every day. That understanding became the spark that eventually led me to the deeper, more soulful work of life planning.

In Hana, Hawaii, I immersed myself in the EVOKE® Life Planning process, learning directly from its founder, George Kinder, his extraordinary team, and a community of like-hearted planners. Surrounded by the island’s quiet beauty and the spirit of Aloha, I found a way to bring harmony to the intersection of money, meaning and life purpose. That’s how Alohana was born — a blend of Aloha (love, peace, harmony) and Ohana (family — no one left behind). Together, they capture the essence of what I value most.

Over the years, my work and perspective have been featured in publications such as Forbes, Yahoo Finance, U.S. News, Investopedia, USA Today, CBS and many more — where I’ve shared insights on mindful money management and purpose-driven financial strategies.

When I’m not writing or working with clients, you’ll likely find me immersed in a good book, exploring the world with my wife and daughter, or finding stillness in nature — a rhythm that reflects my approach to planning: grounded, steady, harmonious, and guided by what truly matters.

Alohana Process

At Alohana Financial, we take a human-first approach—honoring your story, your values, and your vision before the numbers ever come into play.

Through the EVOKE® Life Planning process, developed by George Kinder and the Kinder Institute of Life Planning, we’ll walk together through a series of powerful conversations that uncover the why behind your wealth — so your money aligns not just with your goals, but with your purpose.

We’ll meet 4 times over 2–3 months to build your Financial Life Plan through EVOKE®. After that, we’ll meet twice a year to review and update your plan. Between those semi-annual check-ins, you’re always welcome to reach out with anything you’d like to discuss or share. We’re only a phone call or an email away.

This is not traditional financial planning. It’s a partnership that blends expertise with empathy. The result is one clear path toward a life that feels abundant, authentic, and in harmony with what truly matters.
