About Sean Sun
Sean Sun serves as President and Managing Partner at Maridea Global Capital Management and an investment advisor at Maridea Wealth Management.Sean has had a long career in investing and entrepreneurship. Prior to Maridea, he served as Managing Principal of Huckleberry Capital Management, an alternative investment manager with a focus on long-term fundamental analysis. He honed his skills as a bottoms-up, value investor with a focus on disruptive innovation while working at The Motley Fool, where he was a senior analyst and portfolio manager. Prior to that, Sean was also a senior analyst at Stanley & Partners Investment Management, a real estate investment bank based in Beijing and Shanghai.
Outside of investing, Sean has also been a founder and builder in the tech startup world. He founded Saylo, one of the earliest pioneers of hyperlocal, mobile chat. He was also instrumental in building and launching Booster, an apparel-based crowdfunding platform that reached $20 million revenue run rate in its first 18 months of independent operation.
In his leisure time, Sean is an avid Brazilian jiu-jitsu practitioner.
