Army Colonel (Retired) & CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional Seth Wheeler has an unparalleled and natural ability to analyze and build strategies to solve complex problems. With 25 years of military service, 18 years in the Special Operations community, he is trained at the highest levels to identify threats, analyze new technologies and disruptors, and craft agile solutions in high intensity environments.
His mission has always been to serve his country and protect our people. Among his successful missions as a Green Beret, Seth played a crucial role in the largest and most impactful Special Forces organizational command transformation in 25 years and has directly informed foreign policy decisions by the President of the United States on multiple occasions.
The opportunity to continue to climb the ranks in his already highly influential career continued, but Seth found himself at a crossroads—he was raising his two beautiful children on his own and spending an increasing amount of time away from home. After heavy consideration, Seth felt compelled to answer the call of duty closer to home.
In 2019, he was nominated to an elite position on the National Board of Examiners for the Malcom Baldrige Performance Excellence Program, and a year later he was presented with an opportunity to serve people on their own frontlines.
Seth uses his incredible experiences in analytics and intense strategy as he guides families to achieve financial sustainability and legacy wealth strategies. Just like every mission is unique with its own threats, circumstances and positioning, the same is true for each clients’ financial plan. Every family has their own unique set of needs and goals, and Seth’s team has an unparalleled mission of finding efficiencies.
Given Seth’s breadth of knowledge and ability to seek the best options for every outcome, working with his team removes the overwhelming number of options and creates a plan that uniquely fits each clients’ financial journey.
When he is not in the office, you can find Seth skiing or scuba diving with his children and Fiancé. He loves to explore culinary endeavors, and is heavily involved with supporting veteran initiatives on local and national levels. Among all the achievements of his career, his humility, integrity, and strength in chaos shines the brightest.

About our Firm
At Halcyon Wealth Strategies, we offer advanced family financial planning & sell-side M&A exit planning for lower-middle market companies.
Halcyon Wealth Strategies' affiliation with BNY Mellon Pershing, LLC Investments open architecture platform and Northwestern Mutual allows me and my team to deliver a boutique experience for our client families and owners.
Backed with the expertise of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® and CERTIFIED [BUSINESS] EXIT PLANNING ADVISOR® credentials.
1️⃣ Fiduciary, Fee-Based Planning: it is difficult to simply “arrive” at retirement or achieve shorter-term goals; the best way to achieve your goals is to have a system in place and quantify progress toward those targets—while maintaining financial flexibility as your life evolves.
2️⃣ Coaching: we understand your long-term goals and we proactively help you achieve them in the most efficient ways.
3️⃣ Accountability: we understand that your time is valuable; we focus on the most important items at the right times to help you achieve your goals
4️⃣ Investment performance: we work as a team to design plans aimed to provide a better level of performance than you can likely achieve on your own
We accomplish this with a higher standard of care, from a fiduciary approach, with a broad scope of advice (versus simply managing investments)*.
We understand that your time is valuable; we create financial clarity and confidence so that you redirect your time and energy toward your personal and professional growth.
As a Certified [Business] Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA®), I guide our business owners toward optimal sales / exits with a focus on the sell-side for lower middle market companies. We build financial plans to parlay those exits into retirement and generational wealth transitions.
We establish Buy-Sell entity and cross-purchase policies, key person, and Risk Options. We establish 401K’s, SEP IRAs, Profit-Sharing plans, and Cash Balance Pension Plans.
* Fiduciary standard of care applies to advisory services and fee based plan.

Tips for Writing a Helpful Review
Be descriptive. Instead of just saying what you like or dislike, share why. What have you enjoyed most or least about your experience with the provider? Be honest. Your rating and review should reflect your actual experience.
Stay relevant. Ensure your review is helpful to others by avoiding off-topic discussions or personal opinions not relevant to your direct experience.
Make your review easy to read. Reviews should be readable to others. Use proper grammar, avoid excessive capitalization or punctuation, and be sure to check your spelling.
Be yourself. Don’t post as, or pretend to be, someone else, and do not say you’re associated with a person or organization with which you are not.
Be nice. Don’t write abusive, hateful, threatening, or harassing content. Avoid personal threats, hate speech, obscenities, or inflammatory language.
Respect the privacy of others. Don’t post information that can be used to identify another individual or compromise their privacy.
