About Victor Gersten, EA, CFP®, M.S., MPAS™
Hi, I'm Victor Gersten, Founder of Cross Border Wealth Advisors.I founded Cross Border Wealth Advisors in 2020 after recognizing a clear gap: most financial advisors simply aren't equipped to handle the layered complexity faced by Americans living abroad. I set out to build a firm that could.
With over 19 years of financial services experience, I hold two master's degrees - one in global business from the University of San Diego (USD) and one in personal financial planning from the College for Financial Planning. I am both a Certified Financial Planner® and an IRS Enrolled Agent, giving me the rare ability to coordinate investment strategy and cross-border tax planning under one roof.
Raised in Mexico City by a single mother, I have lived in Italy, Spain, Mexico, and the United States. That lived experience across borders shapes everything about how I approach client relationships - with empathy, precision, and a genuine understanding of what it means to manage finances from afar. I also teach finance at the university level.

About Cross Border Wealth Advisors
Cross Border Wealth Advisors is a fee-only fiduciary firm offering multilingual service in English and Spanish, built specifically to help US citizens living in Spain manage their finances efficiently.Who We Serve
We work with US citizens and green card holders who have meaningful financial ties to Spain, including professionals, retirees, and business owners living full- or part-time abroad. We maintain a deliberately limited client roster to preserve the depth and quality of service each client receives.
Our Services
As an independent advisory firm with fiduciary responsibility, our main service is financial planning, with the option to add on portfolio management and tax preparation. We coordinate US and Spanish tax planning, simulations, and filing, and client assets are held in custody at Charles Schwab using low-cost investments such as ETFs and no-load mutual funds.
Why Work With Us
Coordinated investment & tax planning: One firm, one strategy - investments and taxes decided together, not in silos.
Strategies to reduce taxes over time: Treaty-aware planning that considers both IRS and Spanish tax systems over decades, not just this year.
Better decision-making: Clarity across retirement, income, and investment choices so you act with confidence.
Fewer surprises at tax time: Proactive preparation means no April scrambles and no unexpected bills from either country.
We are legally bound to work only for you, the client, not in the interest of any investment bank or third party. We earn no commissions, referral fees, or product-based compensation of any kind, and we coordinate with outside counsel and other independent professionals as client situations require.

We Want Your Voice to be Heard
Wealthtender exists to help people discover trusted and authentic financial professionals and educators who may be a good fit based on their unique needs and circumstances.
Your honest reviews help people decide which financial professionals and educators may be best suited to their individual needs.
The majority of people trust reviews as much as personal recommendations, so what you write in your review should reflect your own opinion and experience.
Tips for Writing a Helpful Review
Be descriptive. Instead of just saying what you like or dislike, share why. What have you enjoyed most or least about your experience with the provider? Have they helped you overcome a difficult financial challenge or strengthened your knowledge about particular money matters? The more details, the better!
Be honest. Your rating and review should reflect your actual experience.
Stay relevant. Ensure your review is helpful to others by avoiding off-topic discussions or personal opinions not relevant to your direct experience.
Make your review easy to read. Reviews should be readable to others. Use proper grammar, avoid excessive capitalization or punctuation, and be sure to check your spelling.
Be yourself. Don’t post as, or pretend to be, someone else, and do not say you’re associated with a person or organization with which you are not.
Be nice. Don’t write abusive, hateful, threatening, or harassing content. Avoid personal threats, hate speech, obscenities, or inflammatory language.
Respect the privacy of others. Don’t post information that can be used to identify another individual or compromise their privacy.
Report abuse. Thank you for helping us ensure reviews on Wealthtender are helpful to everyone. If you suspect possible violations of our guidelines or believe a review is inappropriate, please email support@wealthtender.com with a link to the provider’s profile, indicating the review in question and the reason you believe it violates our guidelines.
