Professional, personal and proficient. Summit has seen us through twenty years of planning including an international move, tax law changes, college funding, retirement, and all of life’s financial challenges. Spent a number of years with a large corporate financial group and the results were OK, but the service was terrible. We went through a number of advisers, none of which we chose, and never had any relationship with anyone.
In searching for a fee-only, fiduciary we met with several individuals. We found Jennifer to be the one most aligned with our values, goals, and our view that our association was a partnership based on communication and respect.
Jennifer and Mike are professional, knowledgeable, and personable. They are a true pleasure to work with.

Excellent professional service! Ms. Luzzatto and Mr. Sigmon LISTEN to you and provide a portfolio to suit your personal needs. The ability to invest in Dimensional Funds lets you diversify and buffer against stock market fluctuations. They are Fiduciaries and look out for your best interests. Highly recommend!

Jennifer and Mike at Summit are wonderful financial planning professionals! They really listen to my concerns, respond quickly whenever I have questions, and provide options for my investments. I feel secure in my retirement goals thanks to their guidance. Summit fees are much lower than management through my former employer. I am so glad my funds are in such good hands!

The Summit team listens to your interests, concerns, and goals and sets a plan that is easy to understand and track. Finances can be an intimidating topic but they break it down in a manner that you can understand and establish a relationship that allows you to ask questions.

We've been clients of Jennifer and Summit Financial Planning for nearly 15 years. Their fee-only/fiduciary approach attracted us to the firm, their alignment and respect of our values, along with Jennifer's intelligence and compassion won our business. They have provided excellent guidance and financial management to allow us to develop and reach our financial goals. After researching the various financial planners that are available in the Richmond area, along with their approach to providing financial services to their clients, my wife and I decided to work with a fee-only, fiduciary, financial planner. The fact that our financial planner would be a fiduciary (i.e. committed and bound to always providing advice that is in our best interest) coupled with the fact that we would know exactly how much that service was costing us (monthly, quarterly and annually), was very important to us. We talked with two fee-only firms and ultimately selected Summit Financial Partners. That was six years ago, and we could not be happier with our decision. Jennifer and Mike not only have the education and experience in the financial services field to advocate for and advise their clients, they also keep up with changes in the industry through continuing education and then endeavor to inform their clients of new or changing issues through e-mails, one on one client meetings and/or self-produced videos. Additionally, they invest the time necessary to fully understand their client’s current situation as well as their goals for the future and all the minutia in between, so that they can put together a practical, logical, and most importantly, successful, financial plan. My wife and I have transitioned to the retirement phase of our plan and because of the detailed planning and advice we received from Summit, we are thoroughly enjoying every day and as we look to the future, that same ongoing planning and advice gives us peace of mind.

When considering financial planners, it was important to us to choose someone with similar values, who were not exclusively focused on simply making or managing money, but genuinely had our best interests at heart. Jennifer, Michael, and Lauren make us feel like part of their family. We feel valued as individuals, and we know that they are guided by high moral and ethical standards. After meeting with them, getting to know them, and discussing our financial plan, we were able to rest easy knowing that our goals were mutually shared.
