About Matthew Reakus, CFP®, CKA®, CEPA, EA
Hi, I'm Matt Reakus, the founder of Sound Wealth in Marlton, New Jersey. I'm a Christian, husband to an amazing wife and father of four, and I focus on business owners, families with a lot of moving parts, and people getting close to retirement.I started Sound Wealth in 2021 after rebuilding my practice around biblical stewardship. We handle financial planning and investment management at Sound Wealth, and tax preparation and year-round tax planning through our affiliated firm, Sound Tax, so the person who knows your plan is also looking at your tax return.
I hold the CFP®, CKA®, CEPA and EA designations, which cover comprehensive financial planning, biblical stewardship and business exit planning at Sound Wealth. As an Enrolled Agent, I handle tax preparation and IRS representation through Sound Tax. I earned my Bachelor of Science at Stockton University, and I also teach biblical financial courses.
Most meetings happen by video, and you're always welcome at our Marlton office. Outside the office you'll find me coaching my kids' sports and spending time with my family.

About Sound Wealth
Sound Wealth is a Christian-led, fee-only fiduciary financial advisory firm founded by Matt Reakus in 2021. Our office is in Marlton, New Jersey, and we work with clients in South Jersey in person and, where we're registered or exempt, by video across the country. Our Mission
Our calling is simple: help people steward what God has entrusted to them, wisely and faithfully. Wealth is a tool for living out your purpose, and we keep your planning, investments and taxes working together so decisions get made with the full picture in view.
Our Services
Sound Wealth LLC provides comprehensive financial planning (project-based or ongoing), investment management, and retirement plan consulting for employers. Values-based screening, including biblically responsible investing, is available on request. Screening can limit diversification, so a screened portfolio may be more volatile and perform differently than an unscreened one.
Tax preparation, year-round tax planning, bookkeeping and outsourced CFO services for business owners are provided separately by our affiliated firm, Sound Tax LLC, led by Matt as an Enrolled Agent.
Fees
Investment management is a blended, tiered fee from 1.50% on the first $500,000 down to 0.60% above $5 million, and is negotiable. Ongoing planning is a fixed monthly fee of up to $4,000, typically about $600 a month, plus a one-time initial fee of up to $3,000 that may be reduced or waived. At our discretion, planning fees may be reduced for clients with $1 million or more under our management. Project-based planning is a fixed fee of up to $20,000 or $350 per hour. Retirement plan consulting is tiered from 1.00% down to 0.50% of plan assets under management and is negotiable. No account minimum. Sound Tax fees are separate. Full details are in our Form ADV Part 2A.
Who We Serve
We focus on Christian families and business owners whose faith, taxes, planning, investments and business decisions all intersect, and on people getting close to retirement. You don't have to share our faith to work with us, and we're glad to work with families of many backgrounds.
Important Disclosures
Sound Wealth LLC is a state-registered investment adviser. Advisory services are offered only where Sound Wealth LLC is registered or exempt from registration. Registration does not imply a certain level of skill or training. Tax services are provided by Sound Tax LLC, an affiliate under common ownership that does not provide investment advice. Because the same owner benefits when clients use both firms, a conflict of interest exists, and you're never obligated to use either. See Form ADV Part 2A at adviserinfo.sec.gov (firm CRD 329237).

We Want Your Voice to be Heard
Wealthtender exists to help people discover trusted and authentic financial professionals and educators who may be a good fit based on their unique needs and circumstances.
Your honest reviews help people decide which financial professionals and educators may be best suited to their individual needs.
The majority of people trust reviews as much as personal recommendations, so what you write in your review should reflect your own opinion and experience.
Tips for Writing a Helpful Review
Be descriptive. Instead of just saying what you like or dislike, share why. What have you enjoyed most or least about your experience with the provider? Have they helped you overcome a difficult financial challenge or strengthened your knowledge about particular money matters? The more details, the better!
Be honest. Your rating and review should reflect your actual experience.
Stay relevant. Ensure your review is helpful to others by avoiding off-topic discussions or personal opinions not relevant to your direct experience.
Make your review easy to read. Reviews should be readable to others. Use proper grammar, avoid excessive capitalization or punctuation, and be sure to check your spelling.
Be yourself. Don’t post as, or pretend to be, someone else, and do not say you’re associated with a person or organization with which you are not.
Be nice. Don’t write abusive, hateful, threatening, or harassing content. Avoid personal threats, hate speech, obscenities, or inflammatory language.
Respect the privacy of others. Don’t post information that can be used to identify another individual or compromise their privacy.
Report abuse. Thank you for helping us ensure reviews on Wealthtender are helpful to everyone. If you suspect possible violations of our guidelines or believe a review is inappropriate, please email support@wealthtender.com with a link to the provider’s profile, indicating the review in question and the reason you believe it violates our guidelines.
