About Albion Financial Group
Established in 1982 in Alta, Utah and currently located in Salt Lake City, Albion Financial Group is an independent wealth advisor and investment manager.Over the last four-plus decades Albion Financial Group has become a nationally recognized, locally respected, award-winning provider of customized wealth management services. From the firm’s humble beginnings, Albion Financial Group has grown into one of Utah’s largest privately held investment managers. Albion Financial Group’s suite of investment services includes in-depth market research, customized portfolio management, and comprehensive financial advising.
As a fiduciary and fee-only advisor, Albion Financial Group is compensated directly by our clients rather than through commissions or product sales. As a result, our recommendations are driven by your goals and best interests rather than the sale of any particular product or outside incentives.
Our Story
Albion was founded on a simple belief: financial advice should serve the client, not the products being sold. At a time when commissions were the norm, our founders chose a different path, building the firm around the principles of fee-only advice and fiduciary responsibility long before those terms became common in the industry. As one of the first fee-only advisory firms in Utah and among the early adopters nationally, Albion has spent more than 40 years helping clients make financial decisions with confidence, clarity, and trust. That belief continues to guide everything we do.
Individualized Investing
We believe the best financial decisions are made when investment management and financial planning work together. Our team combines personalized financial planning with dedicated in-house investment management to deliver coordinated guidance tailored to your needs.
What Being a Fiduciary Means for You
Goals, timing and risk tolerance—they're different for each client. We believe in listening. We believe in doing the right thing. As a fiduciary, we're legally and ethically required to act in your best interest, and as a fee-only advisor, we're compensated directly by our clients rather than through commissions or product sales. While no advisory relationship is entirely free of conflicts, we work to identify them, minimize them where we can, and disclose them openly.
Getting Started
Our investment relationships begin with a conversation. This allows Albion and potential clients to discuss financial goals and investment philosophies—laying the foundation for a personalized, integrated long-term plan built on trust, clarity, and confidence.
We work with individuals and families navigating meaningful financial decisions—planning for retirement, managing a significant portfolio, or coordinating complex tax and estate strategies. If you're wondering whether we're the right fit, we'd love to have that conversation.

We Want Your Voice to be Heard
Wealthtender exists to help people discover trusted and authentic financial professionals and educators who may be a good fit based on their unique needs and circumstances.
Your honest reviews help people decide which financial professionals and educators may be best suited to their individual needs.
The majority of people trust reviews as much as personal recommendations, so what you write in your review should reflect your own opinion and experience.
Tips for Writing a Helpful Review
Be descriptive. Instead of just saying what you like or dislike, share why. What have you enjoyed most or least about your experience with the provider? Have they helped you overcome a difficult financial challenge or strengthened your knowledge about particular money matters? The more details, the better!
Be honest. Your rating and review should reflect your actual experience.
Stay relevant. Ensure your review is helpful to others by avoiding off-topic discussions or personal opinions not relevant to your direct experience.
Make your review easy to read. Reviews should be readable to others. Use proper grammar, avoid excessive capitalization or punctuation, and be sure to check your spelling.
Be yourself. Don’t post as, or pretend to be, someone else, and do not say you’re associated with a person or organization with which you are not.
Be nice. Don’t write abusive, hateful, threatening, or harassing content. Avoid personal threats, hate speech, obscenities, or inflammatory language.
Respect the privacy of others. Don’t post information that can be used to identify another individual or compromise their privacy.
