I have never been the “financially conscious” person. I don’t even know if that term even exists, I do however know whatever thoughts I had prior to experiencing this blog are no longer. The 30 day challenge was beyond eye opening for me, things that have fallen under the radar for years or were deemed less important have found their place in my life. I have always been skeptical about financial coaches or what not. And I started following this blog on social media and for some reason this blog made a lot more sense than a lot of books you may read. The way she breaks it down for the beginners to not feel lost was what did it for me. Me and my wife love the challenges and it’s definitely working. We both lost our jobs about 2 years ago and were swimming in debt. With following the guidelines money and matrimony has provided we are on the way to closing on our dream home.

Money in Matrimony gives pertinent information for everyone.(Singles, Newlyweds, and those that have been married for 14 years or more like myself). It starts with the very basics of showing you that you first need to have the right mindset. I like that she gives her real-life examples that let you know, you are not alone on this journey. It has helped my husband and I realize where we need to cut back, helped me make money by selling things that I no longer use or need, and has taught me to be aware of my emotional spending. Well now that my husband and I are Empty Nesters, I noticed my shopping habits had not changed. After reading about the many ways I could be wasting money.. I wanted to stop immediately.
