About Brian Tegtmeyer, CFP®
Hi, I’m Brian Tegtmeyer, a CFP® professional in Dublin, OH with over a decade of financial planning experience. I have a passion for helping people make a smart transition to retirement. As a fee-only financial planner, I provide comprehensive and objective financial life planning to help clients over 50 organize, grow, and protect their assets as they transition to retirement. As a fee-only, fiduciary, and independent financial advisor, I am never paid a commission of any kind and have an obligation to provide unbiased and trustworthy financial advice.Before starting Truly Prosper, I worked for over ten years at a fee-only wealth management firm in Cincinnati, Ohio. I was able to gain valuable experience developing detailed retirement plans, tax projections, and social security strategies for high-net-worth clients. I enjoyed the work and appreciated my time there, but I felt called to create a different kind of financial planning business.
In 2020, Truly Prosper was founded on the beliefs that:
✅ Financial Life Planning can help people live the best life possible with the money they have;
✅ Retirement planning should be available to all people, not just the wealthy;
✅ Pricing should be based on the services received and not the size of your investment portfolio; and
✅ Retirees are better served by an advisor specializing in retirement planning.
I’m a member of several professional organizations that help increase my knowledge and support my mission of helping people make a smart transition to retirement. These include the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA), XY Planning Network, Financial Planning Association (FPA), Kingdom Advisors, Advisor Growth Community, and Money Quotient.
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my wife and three kids. We love playing board games, going for adventure walks, or playing a game of backyard kickball.

About Truly Prosper Financial Planning
At Truly Prosper Financial Planning, our True Wealth financial planning process includes 5 stages designed to help you retire with clarity and confidence.1️⃣ Stage 1: Explore. We learn about your needs, concerns, and aspirations and explain how our flat fee financial planning services can help meet those specific needs. Then we decide if we have a good fit to work together.
2️⃣ Stage 2: Engage. Once we agree to work together, we focus on identifying and clarifying your true values and priorities. This process helps us understand your unique frame of reference and forms the foundation of your financial plan.
3️⃣ Stage 3: Envision. We guide you in creating a vision for the future that is compelling, fulfilling, and inspiring. We also establish guidelines for developing a financial plan that aligns with your values and priorities.
4️⃣ Stage 4: Enlighten. We present our financial planning recommendations and demonstrate how they support the life you want to live. We also summarize and clarify insights and knowledge about your values, priorities, concerns, transitions, goals, and objectives.
5️⃣ Stage 5: Empower. This stage is the most important part of the process; putting the plan into action. This involves implementing the current recommendations and updating your financial plan as your goals and circumstances change.
We believe our life-centered planning approach leads to greater success and fulfillment in retirement.

Wealthtender® is a trusted, independent financial directory and educational resource governed by our strict Editorial Policy, Integrity Standards, and Terms of Use. While we receive compensation from featured professionals (a natural conflict of interest), we always operate with integrity and transparency to earn your trust. We Want Your Voice to be Heard
Wealthtender exists to help people discover trusted and authentic financial professionals and educators who may be a good fit based on their unique needs and circumstances.
Your honest reviews help people decide which financial professionals and educators may be best suited to their individual needs.
The majority of people trust reviews as much as personal recommendations, so what you write in your review should reflect your own opinion and experience.
Tips for Writing a Helpful Review
Be descriptive. Instead of just saying what you like or dislike, share why. What have you enjoyed most or least about your experience with the provider? Have they helped you overcome a difficult financial challenge or strengthened your knowledge about particular money matters? The more details, the better!
Be honest. Your rating and review should reflect your actual experience.
Stay relevant. Ensure your review is helpful to others by avoiding off-topic discussions or personal opinions not relevant to your direct experience.
Make your review easy to read. Reviews should be readable to others. Use proper grammar, avoid excessive capitalization or punctuation, and be sure to check your spelling.
Be yourself. Don’t post as, or pretend to be, someone else, and do not say you’re associated with a person or organization with which you are not.
Be nice. Don’t write abusive, hateful, threatening, or harassing content. Avoid personal threats, hate speech, obscenities, or inflammatory language.
Respect the privacy of others. Don’t post information that can be used to identify another individual or compromise their privacy.
Report abuse. Thank you for helping us ensure reviews on Wealthtender are helpful to everyone. If you suspect possible violations of our guidelines or believe a review is inappropriate, please email support@wealthtender.com with a link to the provider’s profile, indicating the review in question and the reason you believe it violates our guidelines.
