About Bryan Huhn, CFP®

Reflective financial planning helped me transform from a life I hated into a life I love.

My corporate career ended in flames. I burned out hard after 14 years in a culture that clashed with my values — and pulled me away from my family. Eventually, I realized the truth: I was living someone else’s version of success.

So I created a plan. And I walked away.

I began prioritizing my family. And I pursued work that aligns with my values. This is how Reflective Wealth was born.

Today, through thoughtful financial planning and wealth management, I help my clients create lives they never want to escape from — lives they’re proud to call their own.

My biggest regret? Not planning sooner. But that’s the beauty of it — my clients get to skip the mistakes I made. And that makes me pretty happy.

Career

Along the way, I’ve had the benefit of working with and learning from some incredibly sharp people.

Over 13 years in the investment industry, I gained a deep understanding of how large institutions invest to meet specific goals. I now use those same principles to help everyday families hit their own life goals.

I spent more than a decade advising financial advisors at all the major Wall Street firms—teaching them how to implement investment strategies with their clients.

Then I went on to directly advise clients at one of the largest Registered Investment Advisers in the world. I managed just under 200 high-net-worth relationships, overseeing more than $200 million in assets.

Now I help people like you—hardworking professionals who want to build wealth without sacrificing their lives to do it.

On a personal note, I'm a proud husband, father of two and enjoy coaching little league baseball.

Bryan has provided the financial peace of mind that we never thought possible. He has turned anxiety over our financial future into clarity and joy. When I reached a few financial milestones on my own I thought I was in a good financial place. But, I didn’t see my financial blind spots and couldn't put a finger on why I still felt off. Bryan helped me summarize my overall financial status and develop a monthly budget, which showed that I did have enough cash flow to fund important investments (like kids college account) and truly make my money work for me. He helped me see that money was a tool to enable my dream life, and even though it didn't feel like it today, I would have a more than adequate retirement in the future. This led to a lot of new perspective on my life goals, refocusing from the bank account onto more important things like relationships and inner peace. When I was laid off recently, he patiently modeled out a few scenarios which showed me that I really only needed 1/5 of the income I had just lost, and I'd still have an adequate retirement. Not only did this give me confidence and even leverage to navigate the job market, but it also bought inner peace with the situation. Working with Bryan to build my personalized plan has taken away a lot of the questions about what the future looks like for me, and given me the space to just be present with my family. Bryan has been a delight to work with. He is engaging, takes the time to get to know you and build a connection, and because he isn't selling anything, he is only there to help you. He's never rushed an appointment, has always been fully focused on my account when engaging with me, and is responsive outside check-ins (even when I needed a bit of planned large purchase coaching). You can tell he's really passionate about his work because he nerds out on researching my really challenging questions. He's more than just a financial planner, he's a true financial coach, helping me change my whole relationship with money. And he's helped me achieve my version of financial freedom.
