About Erin O’Brien, CFP®
Hi, I’m Erin O’Brien. For 20 years, I’ve been helping women step into retirement feeling confident, secure, and excited for what’s ahead. I have a special interest in working with women in their 50s, a time of life I refer to as the "Season of You".As a Certified Financial Planner™, Accredited Wealth Management Advisor, and Enrolled Agent admitted to practice before the IRS, I have a depth of technical expertise to ensure my clients’ finances are in good hands.
My Story: Shaped by Experience, Driven by Purpose
When I first entered this field, I quickly learned how broken the traditional financial model was. Advisors were pressured to “sell products,” not truly help people. That never sat right with me.
When my own family went through a personal crisis after a devastating loss, I saw firsthand how overwhelming it can feel to make big financial decisions in a vulnerable moment. What my family needed wasn’t jargon or sales pitches — we needed someone to listen, to meet us where we were, and to walk with us step by step.
That experience shaped everything about how I serve my clients today: with empathy, clarity, and a focus on the whole person behind the portfolio.
“I find great satisfaction serving as a woman’s financial partner and go-to, building relationship and supporting her through all the ups and downs life and finances bring — whether it’s practical things like explaining a mortgage disclosure in plain English or filling out paperwork together; or the more soulful questions like where would she love to live at this stage of her life or how to balance helping her kids while keeping her future secure. That’s the stuff that keeps me saying I have the best job in the world.” - Erin O’Brien
Beyond the Numbers
I live in Naples, Florida, with my (soon to be) husband and with our purposeful pups, in our home we call Holiday House. Family and faith are at the heart of our lives. For fun, I love running, baseball, golf, the beach and all things summer. But more than anything I love being called mom, and now “Gramma.”
One of the greatest joys of my career has been the relationships I’ve built with clients over the years. Whether it’s swapping stories about kids, celebrating a trip you’ve taken, or hearing about your next big dream, those personal connections are what make this work so meaningful.
At the end of the day, financial planning is about helping you create your "Season of You" — a retirement that feels intentional, secure, and deeply fulfilling.

About Purposeful Money
Your next chapter deserves more than a financial plan. It deserves clarity, purpose, and a trusted partner to walk beside you. At Purposeful Money, we offer retirement planning with a human-first approach. What We'll Do Together
Retirement isn’t just about the numbers. It’s about knowing you’re going to be okay — financially, emotionally, and in how you spend your days. I'll guide you through the financial and emotional transition into retirement.
Yes, I manage investments, taxes, Social Security, Medicare, and all the moving pieces of your retirement plan. But I also help you uncover the life you want to live in this new season — your “Season of You.”
Together, we’ll align your money with what matters most, so you can live intentionally, joyfully, and without financial fear.
My Approach
I’m not here to overwhelm you with spreadsheets or talk over you with jargon. This is a partnership. I’ll meet you where you are — whether you’re a few years from retirement or already living it — and walk with you every step of the way.
You’ll get judgment-free guidance, plain-English explanations, and someone who understands that retirement isn’t only about dollars — it’s about life. I’ll be there for both the everyday questions (411) and the “drop everything” moments (911), with clear actionable guidance without jargon.
The Worry Ends Here
You’ve worked too hard to spend your retirement years anxious about money. Let’s make a plan you can trust — so you can finally exhale.

Wealthtender® is a trusted, independent financial directory and educational resource governed by our strict Editorial Policy, Integrity Standards, and Terms of Use. We Want Your Voice to be Heard
Wealthtender exists to help people discover trusted and authentic financial professionals and educators who may be a good fit based on their unique needs and circumstances.
Your honest reviews help people decide which financial professionals and educators may be best suited to their individual needs.
The majority of people trust reviews as much as personal recommendations, so what you write in your review should reflect your own opinion and experience.
Tips for Writing a Helpful Review
Be descriptive. Instead of just saying what you like or dislike, share why. What have you enjoyed most or least about your experience with the provider? Have they helped you overcome a difficult financial challenge or strengthened your knowledge about particular money matters? The more details, the better!
Be honest. Your rating and review should reflect your actual experience.
Stay relevant. Ensure your review is helpful to others by avoiding off-topic discussions or personal opinions not relevant to your direct experience.
Make your review easy to read. Reviews should be readable to others. Use proper grammar, avoid excessive capitalization or punctuation, and be sure to check your spelling.
Be yourself. Don’t post as, or pretend to be, someone else, and do not say you’re associated with a person or organization with which you are not.
Be nice. Don’t write abusive, hateful, threatening, or harassing content. Avoid personal threats, hate speech, obscenities, or inflammatory language.
Respect the privacy of others. Don’t post information that can be used to identify another individual or compromise their privacy.
Report abuse. Thank you for helping us ensure reviews on Wealthtender are helpful to everyone. If you suspect possible violations of our guidelines or believe a review is inappropriate, please email support@wealthtender.com with a link to the provider’s profile, indicating the review in question and the reason you believe it violates our guidelines.
