About our Firm
As your trusted financial advisor, our job at Montlake Financial Services LLC, is to provide answers to your questions and deliver strategies to help you achieve your financial goals. By addressing your questions in a direct, straightforward manner, we alleviate the stress and confusion of financial planning and enable you to make educated decisions to help you attain financial success.
We have a no-cost, no obligation process and show you exactly how our team simplifies financial planning to help you realize your dreams. By teaching you our process and encouraging you to take the time to "sleep on it" before deciding to hire us, you gain complete transparency about how we help you reach your financial objectives and are better able to evaluate our firm against others you may be considering.
For those who are potentially a good fit for our firm, there is no cost or obligation to go through the “Sleep on It” process. We operate with complete transparency and want you to understand how we can help you before entrusting us with your nest egg or paying us a single dollar in fees.
Our Process:
STEP 1 – INITIAL PHONE MEETING: Before committing your time or ours, this 15-minute phone call enables us to explore whether your situation matches our expertise.
STEP 2 – FIRST OFFICE MEETING: The purpose of this meeting is to gain clarity on your goals, concerns, and unique financial situation.
STEP 3 – OUR ANALYSIS: This is where the magic happens! We apply our decades of experience and thousands of hours of training and mentoring by the industry’s top experts to answer these questions:
❓Are you on track to achieve your financial goals?
❓Are you overpaying your taxes?
❓Can your portfolio be improved?
❓Can you eliminate, or reduce, threats to your retirement and future financial independence?
STEP 4 – SECOND OFFICE MEETING: Here the proverbial rubber hits the road. During this meeting, we provide detailed answers to the four questions and outline the path to achieving your financial goals. You gain insight into your current financial situation and see, in dollars and cents, how our firm can improve your position.
STEP 5 – SLEEP ON IT: We have worked in the Valley of the Sun for more than 20 years and are in no rush for you to make a decision. In considering whether we should work together, we encourage prospective clients to answer the following questions:
❓Do I like/trust/respect the team at Montlake Financial?
❓Will the benefits they provide exceed their cost?
❓Do I understand and agree with their investment philosophy?
❓Do their recommendations make sense to me?
STEP 6 – THIRD MEETING/PAPERWORK: At this time, we address any outstanding questions. If you are ready, we initiate the paperwork to begin our partnership. Prior to this meeting, you will have received a detailed explanation of this process and answers to previous questions and/or concerns. This simply gives you another opportunity to seek additional information and gain peace of mind.
*While we would love to work with you, if you decide it’s not a good fit, we will wish you all the best and every success. We will never try to hard-sell you or pressure to say yes.
Who We Serve:
✅ SAVERS: Diligent savers with investable assets of $500,000 or more. Though we do not maintain any hard asset minimums, we believe our services and fees are more appropriate for those who are at or above this asset level.
✅ DELEGATORS: People who want to delegate all financial planning and investment management to an expert so they can spend more time on things that matter most to them.
✅ “FIFTY PLUS” DEMOGRAPHIC: We do our best work with individuals and couples over age 50 who are focused on retirement or achieving financial independence.
✅ NICE PEOPLE: While it may sound cliché, we only work with genuinely nice people with whom we share a mutual respect.
✅ LOOKING FOR A TRUSTED ADVISOR: Our clients understand that the success of their personal financial goals is too important to be left to chance. They understand the value of receiving the expert guidance we bring.

To make Wealthtender free for readers, we earn a nominal monthly fee from financial advisors and firms in exchange for marketing services (including being featured on this profile page), subject to terms of use. Wealthtender exists to help people discover trusted and authentic financial professionals and educators who may be a good fit based on their unique needs and circumstances.
Your honest reviews help people decide which financial professionals and educators may be best suited to their individual needs.
The majority of people trust reviews as much as personal recommendations, so what you write in your review should reflect your own opinion and experience.
Tips for Writing a Helpful Review
Be descriptive. Instead of just saying what you like or dislike, share why. What have you enjoyed most or least about your experience with the provider? Have they helped you overcome a difficult financial challenge or strengthened your knowledge about particular money matters? The more details, the better!
Be honest. Your rating and review should reflect your actual experience.
Stay relevant. Ensure your review is helpful to others by avoiding off-topic discussions or personal opinions not relevant to your direct experience.
Make your review easy to read. Reviews should be readable to others. Use proper grammar, avoid excessive capitalization or punctuation, and be sure to check your spelling.
Be yourself. Don’t post as, or pretend to be, someone else, and do not say you’re associated with a person or organization with which you are not.
Be nice. Don’t write abusive, hateful, threatening, or harassing content. Avoid personal threats, hate speech, obscenities, or inflammatory language.
Respect the privacy of others. Don’t post information that can be used to identify another individual or compromise their privacy.
