About Me

Matt Wallen is the founder of Confluence Wealth Management. His blend of over a decade of experience and years of training helps him guide clients across the finish line with confidence. How? By listening, understanding and explaining even the most complex concepts in a simple, straightforward way that connects with clients.

Matt's expertise working with high-net-worth clients and their advisor teams results in well considered retirement and estate plans with a focus on tax efficiency and creditor protection.

Prior to founding Confluence Wealth Management, Matt spent 13 years as an advisor with Northwestern Mutual. He earned his bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Binghamton University in 2006.

In addition, Matt is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®), a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP) professional and a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), representing the significant time he’s invested in understanding the areas of investment management, financial planning and insurance planning.
