About Miguel Gomez, CFP®, EA
I was born and raised in Mexico and built my life in the United States, so I know firsthand what it takes to navigate an unfamiliar system, create opportunity through hard work, and leave something lasting for the next generation.Today, as a CFP® and Enrolled Agent (EA) with more than 16 years of experience, I help clients make informed financial decisions, navigate complex tax and planning issues, and build wealth with clarity and purpose. My practice has a particular focus on Latino business owners and retirees, and I serve clients in both English and Spanish.
At Sophronia Wealth Advisors, I work directly with every client as a fiduciary on a flat-fee basis: no commissions, no products, no conflicting incentives. I guide clients through our Four Pillars framework: Foundation, Protection, Growth, and Legacy.
For business owners, wealth doesn't build itself on the side. I help you create the systems and structures — retirement plans, tax-efficient compensation, investment strategies — to build lasting wealth alongside your business, not just inside it.
For retirees, the challenge often flips. After decades of saving, spending can feel uncomfortable. I help clients move from uncertainty to confidence with a retirement income strategy built for the life they've worked so hard to create.
As an EA, I bring deep tax expertise that works in direct coordination with your financial plan, from tax-efficient wealth building to Social Security timing, RMDs, and Roth conversion strategies. Your financial plan and tax strategy should work together, not in separate silos.
Outside the office, you'll find me hunting for pre-1900 books, building Lego sets, and exploring new places with my family.

About Sophronia Wealth Advisors
Sophronia Wealth Advisors is a fee-only fiduciary wealth management firm that helps business owners, retirees, and their families make thoughtful decisions about their wealth, taxes, and legacy. We founded this firm on the belief that wealth should create freedom, not complexity. Financial success is meaningful only when it supports the life you want to live, the people you care about, and the legacy you hope to leave behind.
Many of the families we serve have spent years building something meaningful: a business, a career, or a lifetime of careful saving. The challenge is rarely earning more. For business owners, it’s creating a plan that turns financial success into lasting security that exists beyond the business. For retirees, it’s learning to spend with confidence after decades of building and ensuring their wealth supports the life they’ve worked so hard to create. In both cases, the answer is the same: a clear, coordinated plan built around your life.
Through our Four Pillars framework (Foundation, Protection, Growth, and Legacy), we help clients organize their financial lives and move forward with confidence. Every financial decision should be viewed in context. Taxes affect investments. Investments affect retirement. Retirement affects legacy. The goal is not a collection of separate recommendations. It’s a coordinated strategy that supports your life as a whole.
For business owners, that means building wealth outside the business, creating tax-efficient strategies, and developing a clear path toward financial independence. After all, the business is not the retirement plan.
For retirees, it means creating sustainable income, navigating tax-efficient withdrawal strategies, and building a legacy that reflects their values.
Our Typical Client
Most of our clients come to us during one of two pivotal transitions in their financial lives.
The first are business owners, many of them immigrants who have built something meaningful in the United States, with significant personal income and a growing realization that the business alone is not a retirement plan. They are ready to be intentional about building wealth outside the business, reducing their tax burden, and creating financial independence for themselves and their families.
The second are retirees and those within a few years of retirement who have saved diligently and are now wrestling with how to turn those savings into reliable, lasting income without running out of money, without overpaying in taxes, and without losing sight of the legacy they want to leave. They want confidence that the wealth they’ve built can support the life they’ve envisioned.
We work virtually and serve clients across the country.
Our practice has a particular focus on Latino families, and we serve clients in both English and Spanish. We also work with clients from a variety of backgrounds who value comprehensive planning, objective advice, and a long-term relationship with a trusted advisor.
A Planning-First Approach
Most financial decisions don’t happen in isolation. Investment decisions affect taxes. Business decisions affect retirement. Estate plans affect future generations. Our Four Pillars framework helps clients see how the pieces connect so they can make more confident decisions and avoid costly blind spots.
Deep Tax Expertise
We integrate tax planning directly into the wealth management process. It is coordinated with your CPA, not treated as a separate conversation. Whether you’re building wealth through a business or creating income in retirement, tax-efficient planning can have a meaningful impact on long-term outcomes.
Bilingual Advice and Cultural Understanding
Many of our clients prefer to discuss important financial decisions in Spanish. We serve clients comfortably in both English and Spanish, and we understand the financial, family, and cultural considerations that shape how Latino families think about wealth, responsibility, and legacy.
Fee-Only Fiduciary Advice
We do not sell products, earn commissions, or receive compensation from third parties. We are compensated solely by our clients. Every recommendation we make is guided by your best interests.

We Want Your Voice to be Heard
Wealthtender exists to help people discover trusted and authentic financial professionals and educators who may be a good fit based on their unique needs and circumstances.
Your honest reviews help people decide which financial professionals and educators may be best suited to their individual needs.
The majority of people trust reviews as much as personal recommendations, so what you write in your review should reflect your own opinion and experience.
Tips for Writing a Helpful Review
Be descriptive. Instead of just saying what you like or dislike, share why. What have you enjoyed most or least about your experience with the provider? Have they helped you overcome a difficult financial challenge or strengthened your knowledge about particular money matters? The more details, the better!
Be honest. Your rating and review should reflect your actual experience.
Stay relevant. Ensure your review is helpful to others by avoiding off-topic discussions or personal opinions not relevant to your direct experience.
Make your review easy to read. Reviews should be readable to others. Use proper grammar, avoid excessive capitalization or punctuation, and be sure to check your spelling.
Be yourself. Don’t post as, or pretend to be, someone else, and do not say you’re associated with a person or organization with which you are not.
Be nice. Don’t write abusive, hateful, threatening, or harassing content. Avoid personal threats, hate speech, obscenities, or inflammatory language.
Respect the privacy of others. Don’t post information that can be used to identify another individual or compromise their privacy.
Report abuse. Thank you for helping us ensure reviews on Wealthtender are helpful to everyone. If you suspect possible violations of our guidelines or believe a review is inappropriate, please email support@wealthtender.com with a link to the provider’s profile, indicating the review in question and the reason you believe it violates our guidelines.
