About Nick O’Kelly, CFP®, RICP®
Hi, I’m Nick O’Kelly. I’m a husband, father, financial planner, and retired Special Operations veteran.I work primarily with high-income and high-net-worth veterans who want a more thoughtful and coordinated approach to managing their financial lives.
Before becoming a financial planner, I served as a Green Beret and later as a pilot in the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment. That experience shaped how I approach planning today: stay prepared, think long term, and focus on disciplined decision-making over time.
Most of the people I work with are already successful. They’ve built strong careers, businesses, and lives after the military. But success doesn’t automatically make financial decisions simpler.
Questions around taxes, investing, retirement, business ownership, real estate, and long-term planning all start overlapping at some point. My job is to help clients organize the financial side of life so they can make decisions with more clarity and less second-guessing.
Outside of work, my life revolves around family. My wife Ali and I stay busy raising our two kids, keeping up with sports and activities, and trying to make the most of our time together. We’re usually spending time outdoors, checking out local restaurants or breweries, watching sports, or chasing around our two Goldendoodles.

About Cadence Wealth Partners
At Cadence Wealth Partners, we work with high-income and high-net-worth veterans who want a more organized and intentional approach to financial planning. Most of our clients are already doing well financially. The challenge usually isn’t a lack of income or opportunity. It’s making sure the financial side of life is working together in a way that supports their goals and priorities.
Investments are spread across different accounts. Taxes keep increasing. Retirement gets closer. Maybe there’s a business involved, stock compensation, real estate, aging parents, or kids getting closer to college.
There are a lot of moving pieces, and it’s common to feel like everything isn’t fully connected.
That’s where planning becomes valuable.
Our team helps clients think through major financial decisions with a long-term perspective and a coordinated approach behind them.
Common areas we help clients navigate include:
• Investment management
• Tax planning
• Retirement planning
• Business ownership decisions
• Concentrated stock positions
• Real estate decisions
• Risk management
• Retirement income planning
• Estate and legacy planning
The name Cadence reflects the belief that progress works best with consistency, alignment, and a deliberate pace behind it. We believe financial planning should work the same way.
Our goal is to help clients feel more organized and more confident in their financial decisions over time.
If you’re looking for a thoughtful and coordinated approach to financial planning, we’d be happy to see if it’s a good mutual fit.

We Want Your Voice to be Heard
Wealthtender exists to help people discover trusted and authentic financial professionals and educators who may be a good fit based on their unique needs and circumstances.
Your honest reviews help people decide which financial professionals and educators may be best suited to their individual needs.
The majority of people trust reviews as much as personal recommendations, so what you write in your review should reflect your own opinion and experience.
Tips for Writing a Helpful Review
Be descriptive. Instead of just saying what you like or dislike, share why. What have you enjoyed most or least about your experience with the provider? Have they helped you overcome a difficult financial challenge or strengthened your knowledge about particular money matters? The more details, the better!
Be honest. Your rating and review should reflect your actual experience.
Stay relevant. Ensure your review is helpful to others by avoiding off-topic discussions or personal opinions not relevant to your direct experience.
Make your review easy to read. Reviews should be readable to others. Use proper grammar, avoid excessive capitalization or punctuation, and be sure to check your spelling.
Be yourself. Don’t post as, or pretend to be, someone else, and do not say you’re associated with a person or organization with which you are not.
Be nice. Don’t write abusive, hateful, threatening, or harassing content. Avoid personal threats, hate speech, obscenities, or inflammatory language.
Respect the privacy of others. Don’t post information that can be used to identify another individual or compromise their privacy.
Report abuse. Thank you for helping us ensure reviews on Wealthtender are helpful to everyone. If you suspect possible violations of our guidelines or believe a review is inappropriate, please email support@wealthtender.com with a link to the provider’s profile, indicating the review in question and the reason you believe it violates our guidelines.
