About Peter Donisanu, ChFC®, AIF®
Hi, I'm Peter Donisanu, Chief Investment Officer and Private Wealth Manager at Franklin Madison Private Wealth, the firm I founded in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 2019.I've worked in financial services since 2001. For nearly two decades, I worked at Wells Fargo Investment Institute, where I was a member of the firm's Global Macroeconomic Strategy team and a voting member of its global investment strategy committee, helping develop economic and market forecasts and contribute to the firm's overall investment strategy guidance.
After years of helping shape strategy for one of the country's largest wealth managers, I started Franklin Madison Private Wealth to work directly with clients who wanted more than a generic financial plan. Today, I focus on helping tech professionals, business owners, and high-net-worth individuals approaching or already in retirement navigate equity compensation, tax planning, and investment management through what I call the Premier Wealth Blueprint, my own framework for turning financial complexity into clarity.
My market commentary has been featured in outlets including the Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, the Financial Times, Nikkei, and Reuters, and I've appeared on CNBC, Yahoo Finance, and Bloomberg Television.
I hold a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Western Governors University and a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from City University of Seattle, and I've completed CFP® Certification Education through The American College.
Outside the office, I live in Pittsburgh with my wife and family, and I'm driven by a personal mission to build a lasting, multi-generational legacy.

About Franklin Madison Private Wealth
At Franklin Madison Private Wealth, we help successful professionals and families simplify their finances, reduce taxes, and create a lasting legacy. We are a boutique, fee-only Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) based in Pittsburgh, PA. Our expertise includes tax-focused financial planning, stock-based compensation strategies, investment management, and multigenerational wealth transfer.
Founded in 2019 by Peter Donisanu, our firm was built to serve individuals who want more than just a financial plan. Our clients want their money to support the life they’ve worked hard to build, and they want to do it with clarity, confidence, and peace of mind.
Who We Serve
We work with accomplished professionals and their families, including tech professionals navigating equity compensation and business owners, as well as high-net-worth individuals approaching or already living in retirement who want strategic tax planning and comprehensive wealth management to preserve their legacy and maintain financial independence.
Our Services
Our work centers on our Premier Wealth Blueprint, a proprietary framework that brings together financial planning, tax planning, and investment management. In practice, that means helping clients manage equity compensation and stock awards, build tax-efficient strategies such as Roth conversions and tax-loss harvesting, plan for retirement income, coordinate estate and insurance planning, and manage investment portfolios custodied at Charles Schwab.
Through our affiliated practice, Franklin Madison Tax Solutions, LLC, we also offer tax preparation for clients with complex equity compensation, trusts, and multiple income sources.
Why Work With Us
As a fee-only fiduciary, we're compensated directly by our clients rather than through commissions on products we recommend, which we believe helps keep our advice aligned with your best interests. We've also embraced a virtual-first model so we can work with clients across the country, not just in the Pittsburgh area.
Investment advisory services are offered through Franklin Madison Advisors, Inc., which is registered as an investment adviser with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Banking and Securities.

Wealthtender® is a trusted, independent financial directory and educational resource governed by our strict Editorial Policy, Integrity Standards, and Terms of Use. While we receive compensation from featured professionals (a natural conflict of interest), we always operate with integrity and transparency to earn your trust. We Want Your Voice to be Heard
Wealthtender exists to help people discover trusted and authentic financial professionals and educators who may be a good fit based on their unique needs and circumstances.
Your honest reviews help people decide which financial professionals and educators may be best suited to their individual needs.
The majority of people trust reviews as much as personal recommendations, so what you write in your review should reflect your own opinion and experience.
Tips for Writing a Helpful Review
Be descriptive. Instead of just saying what you like or dislike, share why. What have you enjoyed most or least about your experience with the provider? Have they helped you overcome a difficult financial challenge or strengthened your knowledge about particular money matters? The more details, the better!
Be honest. Your rating and review should reflect your actual experience.
Stay relevant. Ensure your review is helpful to others by avoiding off-topic discussions or personal opinions not relevant to your direct experience.
Make your review easy to read. Reviews should be readable to others. Use proper grammar, avoid excessive capitalization or punctuation, and be sure to check your spelling.
Be yourself. Don’t post as, or pretend to be, someone else, and do not say you’re associated with a person or organization with which you are not.
Be nice. Don’t write abusive, hateful, threatening, or harassing content. Avoid personal threats, hate speech, obscenities, or inflammatory language.
Respect the privacy of others. Don’t post information that can be used to identify another individual or compromise their privacy.
Report abuse. Thank you for helping us ensure reviews on Wealthtender are helpful to everyone. If you suspect possible violations of our guidelines or believe a review is inappropriate, please email support@wealthtender.com with a link to the provider’s profile, indicating the review in question and the reason you believe it violates our guidelines.
