About Sweta Bhargav, CFA, CFP®, CEPA
Many successful professionals spend decades building wealth through their careers or businesses but eventually face an important question:Can my wealth support the life I want if my income stops?
I work with business owners and senior executives who are approaching important financial transitions such as retirement or the potential sale of a business.
These moments often involve complex financial decisions that benefit from thoughtful financial planning and independent advice.
Clients often come to me when they are asking questions such as:
🔹 Can I retire comfortably and maintain my lifestyle?
🔹 How should my investment portfolio be structured for retirement income?
🔹 What is my business actually worth?
🔹 How would selling my business affect my long-term financial plan?
🔹 How can I reduce taxes when transitioning into retirement?
🔹 How should investments, tax planning, and estate planning work together?
My role is helping clients turn decades of wealth-building into a clear financial strategy designed to support long-term financial independence.
Before founding Adviso Wealth, I built my career in institutional investment management in the United Kingdom, working with defined benefit pension plans and learning the discipline behind research-driven portfolio construction.
After relocating to the United States, I continued working with high-net-worth families and later joined Merrill Lynch, where I served on an investment committee overseeing approximately $5 billion in client assets.
That experience continues to shape how I approach:
🔹 Investment strategy
🔹 Portfolio construction
🔹 Risk management
🔹 Retirement planning
🔹 Long-term financial decision making
I hold three advanced financial designations focused on investment management and financial planning:
🔹 Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®)
🔹 CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®)
🔹 Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA®)
This combination allows me to help clients address both investment strategy and complex financial planning decisions.
Outside of my work as a financial advisor, I enjoy the performing arts, cultural exploration, and spending time with my husband and two young children.

What kinds of clients benefit most from your services and approach?
Many of the people who benefit most from my services are business owners and senior executives who are approaching important financial transitions, such as retirement or the potential sale of a business.
These individuals have often spent decades building wealth through their careers or companies and are beginning to think more intentionally about the next phase of life.
Examples include people who are:
🔹 Preparing to retire within the next 5–10 years
🔹 Evaluating whether their business could support a future exit
🔹 Transitioning from earning income to living off their investments
🔹 Seeking thoughtful, independent advice on investment strategy and financial planning
They are typically looking for a trusted financial advisor who can help connect their investments, retirement planning, taxes, and long-term goals into a coordinated strategy.
What minimum asset level is required to become a client?
I do not require a strict asset minimum to begin working together.
Most of my clients have built meaningful wealth through their careers or businesses and are seeking thoughtful financial planning and investment guidance as they approach retirement or financial independence.
Rather than focusing solely on account size, the most important factor is whether someone is facing financial decisions that benefit from comprehensive planning, such as retirement planning, investment strategy, or evaluating the financial impact of selling a business.
Is financial planning available on an hourly or project basis?
Yes. Many clients begin working with Adviso Wealth through a project-based financial planning engagement, particularly when they are navigating an important financial decision.
Examples include:
🔹 Evaluating whether they can retire comfortably
🔹 Developing a retirement income strategy
🔹 Reviewing investment portfolios and long-term planning assumptions
🔹 Analyzing the financial impact of selling a business
Some clients choose to continue working together on an ongoing advisory basis after the initial planning engagement.
How do you work with clients—in person, remotely, or both?
Adviso Wealth works with clients both locally and nationwide.
Many meetings are conducted virtually, which allows us to work with clients across the United States.
For clients located near Princeton, New Jersey, in-person meetings are also available.
Do you offer an introductory consultation?
Yes. I offer an introductory conversation so we can discuss your situation and determine whether working together would be helpful.
This initial discussion is simply an opportunity to learn more about your goals, the decisions you are facing, and how my planning process works. There is no obligation to move forward.
If you're beginning to think about retirement or evaluating how your business fits into your long-term financial plans, an introductory conversation is often the best place to begin.

We Want Your Voice to be Heard
Wealthtender exists to help people discover trusted and authentic financial professionals and educators who may be a good fit based on their unique needs and circumstances.
Your honest reviews help people decide which financial professionals and educators may be best suited to their individual needs.

Tips for Writing a Helpful Review
Be descriptive. Instead of just saying what you like or dislike, share why. What have you enjoyed most or least about your experience with the provider? Have they helped you overcome a difficult financial challenge or strengthened your knowledge about particular money matters? The more details, the better!
Be honest. Your rating and review should reflect your actual experience.
Stay relevant. Ensure your review is helpful to others by avoiding off-topic discussions or personal opinions not relevant to your direct experience.
Make your review easy to read. Reviews should be readable to others. Use proper grammar, avoid excessive capitalization or punctuation, and be sure to check your spelling.
Be yourself. Don’t post as, or pretend to be, someone else, and do not say you’re associated with a person or organization with which you are not.
Be nice. Don’t write abusive, hateful, threatening, or harassing content. Avoid personal threats, hate speech, obscenities, or inflammatory language.
Respect the privacy of others. Don’t post information that can be used to identify another individual or compromise their privacy.
Report abuse. Thank you for helping us ensure reviews on Wealthtender are helpful to everyone.
