The Question
I am divorced & on SSI, married over 10yrs. Can I get spousal benefits at age 55?If you have been married for 10 years and not remarried before 60 years of age, you may be eligible for divorced spousal benefits. You qualify for your own benefit, or 50% of your ex-spouse’s at your Full Retirement Age (66 to 67, depending on your year of birth).
