At the beginning of 2023, I resigned from a very toxic work environment and was offered a new position with a different company. My starting salary with the new company was less than what I had been making at my previous job of 13 years. At first, I was thinking of taking my Social Security early to help make ends meet. I first meet with David to discuss rolling over of my 401-K from my previous employer to Lifetime Financial. I explained to him what I was planning to do with my SS, and he took the time to discuss the pros and cons of taking my SS early. David also came up with a better solution which would allow me to wait until I turned 70 to apply for SS so I would be able to receive my full retirement benefits.
David has always been patient and kind to me during this process. I trust David to wisely guide me through my financial decisions and protect my investments and my financial future.

Prior to my retirement I managed and hired a significant number of people. One of the many lessons I learned was the importance of trust in relationships. Trust is hard to cultivate and absolutely necessary to be effective. David understands this and invests the time to allow trust to develop naturally. When I first met David I was impressed with his willingness to listen to what I had to say. He knew when.to ask questions and let me fully answer them. His follow through with our requests is never in question. He is proactive yet is mindful of our concerns regarding our investments. These are skills are fundamental to building trust. David has been our advisor for a few years. He is always attentive to our needs. When we called him about needed some money sent to us, he asked if he could work with our accountant to see the best way for us to receive the distributions. For tax purposes, they agreed that having payments sent monthly instead of one time. A set amount was agreed upon as not to put us into another tax bracket. David looked at the whole situation before just doing as we asked. We feel very confident that he has our best interest always.

We have worked with David Mathias for at least three years. He has always been so helpful, highly responsive, and always proactive with long term planning and tax implications of financial decisions. He has always been exceedingly responsive and available. His knowledge of financial implications of various decisions are quite remarkable, especially since he’s responding verbatim to us, without doing any further research. On the other hand, if there is the rare situation he’s unfamiliar with, he immediately researches it, and gets right back to us.

From my experience, he’s always happy to answer questions and provides thought-provoking responses with follow up information and useful data.
