About Mike Guarino, CDFA®, AIF®
Hi, I’m Mike Guarino, CEO, Founder, and Senior Wealth Advisor at Granite Wealth Partners, a Denville, New Jersey-based wealth management firm serving clients nationwide. As an Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) and (CDFA®), I bring two decades of experience and a commitment to understanding your life before offering advice. I help pre-retirees and retirees gain a clearer understanding of their finances and approach retirement with greater confidence.
As a second-generation financial advisor, I’ve seen firsthand how thoughtful guidance can shape a family’s future across generations. That experience gives personal meaning to a principle that guides my work: “What we do today echoes in eternity.” It’s about helping you make decisions today that support your future, protect the people you love, and shape the legacy you leave behind.
I specialize in helping successful savers—including employees and retirees from companies like ADP, UPS, Novartis, Mars Wrigley, and Johnson & Johnson—bring their financial lives together and make informed decisions.
Through our firm’s proprietary Rock-Solid Financial Framework, my team and I coordinate five essential pillars of your financial life: investment strategy, tax awareness, retirement income, estate planning, and protection. We use a structured scoring methodology to identify gaps, establish priorities, and help these areas work together around your retirement goals. Our goal is to turn complexity into a clear, practical road map so you can spend more time enjoying the life you’ve worked hard to build.
My commitment to service is rooted in a strong blue-collar work ethic. I paid my own way through college while working at UPS and also spent time as a mechanic’s helper. Later, my IT career at ADP deepened my understanding of how complex systems—and the people who depend on them—need to work together. Those experiences continue to shape how I approach financial planning: understand the whole picture, pay attention to the details, and follow through. Inspired by my father’s decades in the financial industry, I built my practice around personal relationships, responsive service, and thoughtful long-term guidance.
I live in Allamuchy, New Jersey, and I’m a proud father of three sons, whom I coached in lacrosse for over a decade. Outside of work, you’ll often find me on the golf course or playing blues guitar, which I’ve enjoyed since age 13. I also enjoy cooking and songwriting.

About Granite Wealth Partners
Granite Wealth Partners is a Denville, New Jersey-based wealth management firm that helps successful individuals and families bring clarity, structure, and confidence to their financial lives through integrated planning, disciplined investing, and thoughtful long-term guidance.Who We Help
We work with pre-retirees and retirees, corporate executives, and corporate employees. For clients in their 50s, 60s, and beyond, we help bring their financial lives together, plan for retirement income, and navigate this next chapter with greater confidence. For business owners, we provide thoughtful financial guidance so they can focus on building their businesses while planning for their own futures. For corporate employees balancing competing priorities, we offer strategic guidance and hands-on support to coordinate their investments, workplace benefits, and retirement goals.
Our Services
Our services bring the key parts of your financial life together: financial planning, investment management, retirement income planning, tax-aware strategies, estate planning coordination, and financial protection. We help you address the decisions that matter most as you approach and move through retirement—from turning accumulated savings into sustainable income to evaluating Roth conversions, coordinating Social Security, and planning tax-efficient withdrawals.
Through our Rock-Solid Financial Framework, we look at how your investments, income needs, taxes, and legacy goals work together. We identify gaps, prioritize opportunities, and build a personalized plan around your life. When needed, we collaborate with your accountant and estate planning attorney to help align recommendations. As your circumstances evolve, we provide ongoing guidance to help you make informed decisions and stay focused on what matters most.
Our Process
Our process begins with a virtual Discovery Meeting, where we listen, ask questions, and learn about your financial life, priorities, and concerns. After the meeting, our advisory team reviews what you’ve shared and prepares a personalized assessment for your virtual Findings and Recommendations Meeting. During that meeting, we explain where you stand financially, how the pieces fit together, and where there may be gaps or opportunities.
If we decide to work together, we'll begin constructing your Rock-Solid Financial Plan, prioritizing recommendations and helping you put our agreed-upon strategies into action. Through ongoing service and your annual Rock-Solid Progress review, we revisit your plan, measure progress, and make adjustments as your life evolves.

Wealthtender® is a trusted, independent financial directory and educational resource governed by our strict Editorial Policy, Integrity Standards, and Terms of Use. We Want Your Voice to be Heard
Wealthtender exists to help people discover trusted and authentic financial professionals and educators who may be a good fit based on their unique needs and circumstances.
Your honest reviews help people decide which financial professionals and educators may be best suited to their individual needs.
The majority of people trust reviews as much as personal recommendations, so what you write in your review should reflect your own opinion and experience.
Tips for Writing a Helpful Review
Be descriptive. Instead of just saying what you like or dislike, share why. What have you enjoyed most or least about your experience with the provider? Have they helped you overcome a difficult financial challenge or strengthened your knowledge about particular money matters? The more details, the better!
Be honest. Your rating and review should reflect your actual experience.
Stay relevant. Ensure your review is helpful to others by avoiding off-topic discussions or personal opinions not relevant to your direct experience.
Make your review easy to read. Reviews should be readable to others. Use proper grammar, avoid excessive capitalization or punctuation, and be sure to check your spelling.
Be yourself. Don’t post as, or pretend to be, someone else, and do not say you’re associated with a person or organization with which you are not.
Be nice. Don’t write abusive, hateful, threatening, or harassing content. Avoid personal threats, hate speech, obscenities, or inflammatory language.
Respect the privacy of others. Don’t post information that can be used to identify another individual or compromise their privacy.
Report abuse. Thank you for helping us ensure reviews on Wealthtender are helpful to everyone. If you suspect possible violations of our guidelines or believe a review is inappropriate, please email support@wealthtender.com with a link to the provider’s profile, indicating the review in question and the reason you believe it violates our guidelines.
