Hey there! I’m Alan Rhode, your friendly neighborhood fiduciary and Modern Wealth's proud Founder and CEO.

At Modern Wealth, we believe in challenging the status quo of traditional financial planning, advising differently, and designing our client's best life.

We do this by integrating Financial Planning, Value Acceleration Methodology™, and Life Planning into a seamless process called EVOKE®.

Modern Wealth is an independent fiduciary that provides fee-only Financial Planning and Business Advisory tailored to Entrepreneurs and Small Business Owners.

With over a decade of experience and active memberships in several professional institutions, such as the CFP Board, The Investment and Wealth Institute, The Exit Planning Institute, and the Kinder Institute of Life Planning, I’ve guided countless individuals, families, and businesses towards their financial goals. My insights have been recognized in prominent publications like The New York Times, MarketWatch, Markets Insider, ABC, NBC, and Fox Business.

I’m a proud Penn State University graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance. I’ve completed my CFP® Pro education from the American College of Financial Services, the Certified Private Wealth Advisor® from Yale School of Management, the Certified Exit Planner® credential from the Exit Planning Institute, and the Registered Life Planner® designation from the Kinder Institute of Life Planning.

When I’m not busy helping people grow their wealth, become entrepreneurs, optimize, or even exit their businesses, you can find me auto-cross racing, cheering on Philadelphia sports, working out, relaxing on the beach, savoring a rare bourbon or a full-bodied Cabernet, or, most importantly, making precious memories with my family, friends, and Goldendoodle Enzo. They’re my world.

What to expect in the first meeting

In this approximately 30-minute complimentary conversation, you can expect a pressure-free environment. Our goal is not to sell you a service but rather to understand your needs, goals, and expectations. We welcome all your questions – whether about our fees, our process, or anything else you have in mind. We'll give you a brief, clear overview of our approach and proven methodologies, which integrates Financial Planning, Wealth Management, Life Planning, and Behavioral Finance into a tailored process for each client called EVOKE. If it feels like we're a good fit, we'll move on to the Vision stage, where we dig deeper into your financial plan. If it doesn’t, we're happy to recommend an alternative that might better suit your needs. Either way, as an independent fiduciary, you can be sure we have your best interests at heart. This introductory call is more than a meet-and-greet. It's the first step towards restructuring your financial priorities and paving the way to your financial freedom.
