About Andrew Barnes, CFP®
Hi, I'm Andrew Barnes. I am driven to find a better way, whether creating a software program to gain efficiencies or a new approach to help ensure foolproof trades. I take the time to do what is right the first time, and to make improvements for the best possible outcomes. My interest in finance came fortuitously from my need to pay for a motorcycle in college. My Dad suggested I work for him at Morgan Stanley and run his customer relationship management system. Not new to technology – I taught myself HTML when I was seven – I set up the database in a month, a task two people before me could not master. Over time, I realized I had a knack for the more analytical side of the business and joined Morgan Stanley full-time during my senior year. Halfway through the wirehouse’s Financial Advisory Associate training program, my father and I decided to start our own firm, Entruity. At the time, the Department of Labor under the Obama Administration was lobbying for a fiduciary rule that challenged the integrity of wirehouses acting in the best interest of their clients. We founded Entruity so that we could operate in the “best-interest” world.
At Entruity, I meet with clients, construct financial plans, execute trades, and build and maintain the firm’s technology.
A native and resident of Bakersfield, I am a graduate of Bakersfield Christian High School and received a BS in business administration with a concentration in finance from California State University, Bakersfield. I have served as Bakersfield president of the Financial Management Association of California State University. I am a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional.
I am a man of many interests. My three special interests are my wife, Kaylee, and our daughters, Blair and Audrey. I also am a music buff, and enjoy Steely Dan, Red Hot Chili Peppers (when John Frusciante is on the album) and Linkin Park to name a few. Proficient at bass guitar, I also dabble in the drums. In addition, I enjoy creating content with photography and videography. Years back, I ran a motovlogging YouTube channel (recording a vlog while motorcycling).

We Want Your Voice to be Heard
Wealthtender exists to help people discover trusted and authentic financial professionals and educators who may be a good fit based on their unique needs and circumstances.
Your honest reviews help people decide which financial professionals and educators may be best suited to their individual needs.
The majority of people trust reviews as much as personal recommendations, so what you write in your review should reflect your own opinion and experience.
Tips for Writing a Helpful Review
Be descriptive. Instead of just saying what you like or dislike, share why. What have you enjoyed most or least about your experience with the provider? Have they helped you overcome a difficult financial challenge or strengthened your knowledge about particular money matters? The more details, the better!
Be honest. Your rating and review should reflect your actual experience.
Stay relevant. Ensure your review is helpful to others by avoiding off-topic discussions or personal opinions not relevant to your direct experience.
Make your review easy to read. Reviews should be readable to others. Use proper grammar, avoid excessive capitalization or punctuation, and be sure to check your spelling.
Be yourself. Don’t post as, or pretend to be, someone else, and do not say you’re associated with a person or organization with which you are not.
Be nice. Don’t write abusive, hateful, threatening, or harassing content. Avoid personal threats, hate speech, obscenities, or inflammatory language.
Respect the privacy of others. Don’t post information that can be used to identify another individual or compromise their privacy.
Report abuse. Thank you for helping us ensure reviews on Wealthtender are helpful to everyone. If you suspect possible violations of our guidelines or believe a review is inappropriate, please email support@wealthtender.com with a link to the provider’s profile, indicating the review in question and the reason you believe it violates our guidelines.
