About Me

Hi, I'm David Mathias, Financial Advisor for Lifetime Financial Advisors, Inc.

I believe that financial planning is about building the life you want, with the people you love, using the time and resources you are given. And hopefully leaving the world a little bit better for it. Money and finances are simply tools to help you on your journey.

While I help clients in various financial stages, I enjoy helping folks prepare for and navigate retirement the most. There are a lot of moving pieces to retirement where I can help people make good decisions for themselves and their families. A few of these moving pieces include investing, tax planning, and retirement income planning, among many others.

Typically, a good fit to work together are individuals or couples ages 50 and up, income above $200,000 (if still working), and investment portfolios of $500,000 or more. Often my clients are homeowners and may own a rental property as well. Most of my clients are based in California but I work with folks across the country.

When I’m not helping people plan for and navigate retirement, I enjoy spending time with my amazing wife, Claudia, and our young son, Benjamin. We live in North County San Diego and enjoy exploring all the area has to offer. Building a life of love, joy, and fulfillment with and for them is the purpose of my own financial plan and life’s journey.
