About John Heldman, CFA

Hi, I'm John Heldman. After 20+ years working for large investment firms, including Bank of America, Scudder Investments, Deutsche Bank, and Neuberger Berman, I desired to set up a smaller boutique firm offering fee-based fiduciary investment and financial planning services to individuals.

In March 2008 that dream was realized. My partner Dave Hutchison joined in 2013, and our operations manager, Marisa Pickar, came aboard in 2015.

I obtained my Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and an MBA from California State University, Long Beach. I’m also a CFA charterholder, a member of CFA Institute, and CFA Society in Orange County.

I’ve been married to my beautiful wife, Tonina, for 37 years. We have two fantastic children: our son Mathew (wife Jessica, granddaughter Remi), and our daughter Alyssa (husband Cameron). I enjoy a variety of activities, including traveling, amateur car racing, mountain biking, golf, racquetball, skiing, and lots of reading.
