About Me

Hi, I'm Michael Ma, Partner and Wealth Advisor at Emeritus Wealth Management.

My family moved from South Korea to southern New Jersey when I was 5. We subsequently had our share of financial hardship, but my dad eventually built a successful small business. And by steadily putting money into my mom's 401(k) plan, my parents managed to achieve financial security and retire in comfort.

After graduating from the University of Michigan with a bachelor of arts degree in economics, I began my career as a service specialist with TIAA® in 2002. Over the next 19 years, I earned a series of promotions that culminated in the role of senior wealth management advisor, a title given only to TIAA®'s top advisors. In that role, I mentored several advisors who provided advice to thousands of plan participants.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my wife Toni and our dog, Dillon. We love staying active and traveling the world.
