About Me

Investing is simple; but the simple things are hard.

Buy low. Sell high. It seems so obvious and easy. As we all know, there is a lot more that goes into those decisions after you consider taxes, risk, investment time horizon and other factors. How do I invest wisely to generate a desired return? How do I know if I am taking too much risk? How do I structure my accounts to minimize taxes? When should current events affect my portfolio strategy? There are many details you need to get right.

We help people with precisely these problems. Our firm closely examines your savings, income, taxes, NUA, pensions, 401k, and a long list of additional elements critical for determining when and how to invest. That's just the first step. Turning it into a good portfolio is another all-important second step.

Our investment process begins with establishing the long-term asset allocation target, which is the blend of stocks, bonds, and cash. Asset allocation is routinely modified to improve the portfolio’s risk/reward profile, but this is done with your long-term investment goals in mind. We are big fans of low cost index investing. Every step of our investment process is based on solid research that we are happy to share with you. Additionally, we will spend a lot of time explaining the behavior of your portfolio.

We are here to listen to your concerns and explain how they will affect your investments. Reach out to us and we’ll be happy to talk.
