😀 Thanks for being a valued member of our community of financial professionals who know the power of digital marketing to grow their business. We’re grateful for the opportunity to serve you.
Hi, I'm Julia Lilly. I am a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and Accredited Behavioral Finance Professional℠ passionate about providing my clients with unbiased, holistic financial planning and advice.
I founded Ryerson Financial to bring a unique financial planning solution to mid-career individuals and families looking to organize their financial lives. Our advice-only, fixed hourly fee practice is about more than the dollars in an investment account. We focus on helping clients craft a flexible plan that reflects their goals and dreams.
Most of my career has been in the financial services industry ranging from investment banking, government consulting, higher education financial management, and personal financial planning. These experiences gave me a broad perspective on the power of proper planning.
Following graduation from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill, I certainly never imagined that my life plan would involve a career in finance. My professional journey began in the legal world, where I quickly learned that I was far more excited about the law firm’s finances and operations than the legal work. This realization led me to pursue an M.B.A. from San Diego State University while living in California during my husband’s service in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Outside work, I spend most of my time with my husband and three kids. We live in Houston, TX, and I enjoy reading, staying active, and volunteering at my children’s school. I also serve as a volunteer financial coach with Savvy Ladies.

Our process begins with a free 30-minute consultation to learn more about you and your relationship with money. Following our introductory call, we will develop a proposed scope of work based on our agreed goals and objectives.
All planning work performed will be billed at a standard and straightforward hourly rate of $250.
Our Services:
✅ Your Money Stories - Most individuals rarely take the time to consider their relationship with money. Through open dialogue and coaching, we partner with you to uncover feelings toward finances and help develop an action plan for improvement. Think of it as financial therapy.
✅ Retirement Coaching - Retirement may seem a long way off, but it’s never too soon to begin saving and dreaming about what the future may hold. We will help you understand available planning options.
✅ Investment Review - Ensuring that you have the proper allocation for your investments is often a task that falls to the bottom of “to do” lists. We perform a comprehensive review of your assets to either validate your approach or provide recommendations to align your investment strategy with the next chapters your financial story.
✅ Legacy Planning - A well-organized and accessible financial life is one of the most thoughtful gifts you can leave your loved ones. We ensure that your assets are appropriately titled and your final wishes are well documented and understood.
✅ Personal Spending Plan - People often cringe at the mention of a budget. However, we believe that a thoughtful spending plan helps to bring your financial habits into focus. We partner with you to create a system that allows you to feel more confident about your finances.
✅ Charitable Engagement - Defining a charitable-giving strategy is exciting. We work with you to design a plan aligned with your values and optimally supports the legacy you desire.

To make Wealthtender free for readers, we earn a nominal monthly fee from financial advisors and firms in exchange for providing access to the benefits described here (including being featured on this profile page), subject to these terms. This compensation creates a natural conflict of interest when we favor their promotion over others. Wealthtender is not a client of these advisors or firms. Testimonials may not be representative of other clients’ experiences and do not guarantee future performance or success.
Wealthtender exists to help people discover the most trusted and authentic financial advisors and educators in the finance community.
Your honest reviews help people decide which financial professionals, personal finance blogs and podcasts may be best suited to their individual needs.
The majority of people trust reviews as much as personal recommendations, so what you write in your review should reflect your own opinion and experience.
Be descriptive. Instead of just saying what you like or dislike, share why. What have you enjoyed most or least about your experience with the provider? Have they helped you overcome a difficult financial challenge or strengthened your knowledge about particular money matters? The more details, the better!
Be honest. Your rating and review should reflect your actual experience.
Stay relevant. Help ensure your review is useful to others by avoiding off-topic discussions or personal opinions not relevant to your direct experience.
Be objective. Try to highlight both positives and negatives in your review, even if your experience skews heavily in one direction.
Make your review easy to read. Reviews should be readable for others. Use proper grammar, avoid excessive capitalization or punctuation, and be sure to check your spelling.
Be yourself. Don’t post as, or pretend to be, someone else, and do not say you’re associated with a person or organization with which you are not.
Be nice. Don’t write abusive, hateful, threatening, or harrassing content. Avoid personal threats, hate speech, obscentities, or inflammatory language.
Respect the privacy of others. Don’t post information that can be used to identity another individual or compromise their privacy.
Report abuse. Thank you for helping us ensure reviews on Wealthtender are useful to everyone. If you suspect possible violations of our guidelines or believe a review is inappropriate, please email support@wealthtender.com with a link to the review in question and reason you believe it violates our guidelines.
